Sorry for spamming but I just had to mention that I made the DH go out and get a wireless router while we were on family vacation recently. I was haunted by the thought that the Quebec concert was happening and I could not peek in at the thread.   |

Is that what the call it now..."aesthetics-based door policy"!! So if Adam were ugly...or even worse, old and ugly, would he not be allowed in the club?? Wonder where they draw the line? Sounds like something out of 80's playboy magazine. Yikes..... Usually has to do with dress policy, but they can't always say that. The "bouncer" rumor in L.A. area for years was that if you weren't wearing the right shoes, you couldn't get in (unless you were really good looking or a celeb, ofc). If the door personnel couldn't tell if you were a VIP or a poser, they would look at your shoes to see how "expensive" they were. : I don't know if that's true or not, but it was a pervasive rumor for more than a decade. Actually, back in my younger hipper days I was in New York for a huge hair show and my friend and I went to the hot club of the day. Peeps all lined up behind a rope outside the door and the club doormen randomly picked out the best looking and let them in. I was pretty cute in those days but would not make the cut now!! sigh..but that was the mid eighties and I had hoped that they had grown past that but guess not...... eta...just remembered the name of the place.....I think...Area .. |

I was pissed that I didn't go through with my initial plotting: family vacay to visit close friends in Montreal w/a small side trip to the concert. : |
