The BTM was fantastic. Much better production and less sensationalized than the E! Hollywood story. The producers of BTM chose to highlight the core of what Adam is: his message of self-acceptance, which resonates with so many people (gay or not), and which has been forged through his life experiences as a misfit and as an outcast (and yes, as a gay man). And for me, this is spot on. They really identified what makes him special.
I see these posters on other sites saying "he wouldn't have gotten this if he weren't gay" but that is SUCH a moot point. He wouldn't be the person he is today if he weren't gay. Fact is, he IS gay - and that has shaped him as a human being and an artist. I can't dissociate his "gayness" from him and his music, that's an exercise in futility. And that's why I am not upset that VH1 focused so much on the "gay", because they "got it."

While I'm on the subject of Adam's lovers--I hope being with Adam will help Sauli with his panic attacks. Adam seems fearless. I've never had actual panic attacks, but I'm prone to avoiding situations that make me uncomfortable, and I've found that when someone else forces me to do the things I'm afraid of, I get braver. Sauli obviously had public attention before when he won Finland's Big Brother, but not at this level, and maybe the repeated exposure will help him get over his panic attacks. Sauli said in one interview that he knows how to calm himself down to manage the attack if it is about to strike, so he's doing just fine . I don't think they hit him very often and he has always seemed to me being pretty brave and relaxed guy himself LOL. No one would even know about that one time at AI finale if he hadn't told about it, it didn't show in the pics or the video.

I thought I read somewhere...his blog perhaps?....that he felt a panic attack coming on when Adam wanted him to join him on the AI red carpet. I always thought he put on a very brave face for someone who was really feeling panicky. Perhaps he was just exaggerating...but even if it were not a legitimate 'attack' I know that the 'fear' of an attack [which ultimately IS the attack, if that makes sense] can be pretty scary. Adam was pretty solicitous and protectice of Sauli...which is a lovely thing. I suspect S is just as brave as Adam, in his own way.... (A Finn that understands the language nuances jumps to offer her two cents) Sauli has previously mentioned that he had had panic attack type symptoms in the past. He hasn't elaborated on this, but I have interpreted this to mean feelings of anxiety and fear, without actual attacks (meaning melt-downs, losing consciousness, inability to leave house etc.) What Sauli wrote about his red carpet experience ("Smile, breathe, don't fall!"), was an entertaining way to tell that he felt overwhelmed and a bit stressed/afraid, but nowhere near an actual panic attack. So, I'm not worried. Personally I leave the panic attack -legend at the state of wishing him good well being ("I hope all this publicity won't stress him too much, I hope all his experiences will be positive") and fan fiction. (because oh the drama)

Oh, and the last 5 minutes of the program, talking about his international success and GNL success were full of win! Finally, some official acknowledgment of what we (the fanbase) already knew, but people thought we were exaggerating: his amazing international success. It really is incredible for an American Idol.
I am so excited about album #2.

Just watched BTM because I was at the Katy Perry concert last night (excellent, BTW!) I loved BTM. I could just watch him talk forever. I was surprised that they didn't include Wicked. It comprised more than a year of his life in his 20s. I LOVED that they used Adam's own songs for their background music! Well done! Just my opinion, but I think if Adam had a say in it, he might have voted to skip it. The experiences and life changes Adam went through during Hair are more important than his frustrating role as mostly chorus boy in Wicked. I can't remember where right now, but Adam said that Wicked was a step down after The Ten Commandments. Also, he quit Wicked once to work on his own music and really only went back for the paycheck.

(Although, some are still trying.)

I FIANALLY found an image I want to use as my AVI!!!!! Now, do I have to have a photobucket account to load it up? I don't have one.... You can use tinypic or another pic hosting website. Or input the original url into the avatar slot and set the parameters to 100X100.

I think you only need to have it on your computer to make an avatar. If you want to show it to us first, you could maybe tell us where or what it is. However, Photobucket accounts are easy to sign up for and you'll probably find it very useful.

Haters are gonna Hate. They suffer from belief perseverance and will always try to revise history to suit them i.e. Adam is bankrupt and poor meme they always use. Personally I think they need some vitameatavegamin.
