Welcome back, MWP!
My son will be back in NYC in a couple of weeks for his last year of school. I will definitely be there in May for his graduation.
Loved your story scenario, lol.

MWP, what are you doing in NYC again?? I forgot. Is it school? Moved here for a year for my husband's work, but it's handy timing for me, too, as I've just finished my MFA program and have a manuscript in hand that I want to try to publish, and all the agents and publishers are in NYC. SO that's what I'll be doing: swimming in rejection letters and trying to write more stuff to be rejected, LOL. (Did have one good preliminary meeting with an agent over the weekend, but am definitely not going to get my hopes up as I know how hard it is, and she hasn't seen the whole book yet anyway.) Hmm, how to get back on topic? Ha: there's DEF more Adam-action in NYC than in Austin (although with my impeccable timing I managed to arrive here in the city right after he and Sauli left :

I've published all 9 of my books that way. This is the site that inspired me to go that route and I'm so happy I did!!! jakonrath.blogspot.com/

unrealitytv.com/the-hub-is-looking-for-the-next-justin-bieber-or-selena-gomez/The Hub is Looking for the Next Justin Bieber or Selena Gomez. August 8th, 2011 by Melissa. .... Singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat, Punk popstress Avril Lavigne and Former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert have all signed on to mentor contestants on the show. Brandy, Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Sean Kingston, Mike Posner and Ryan Tedder already announced their commitment to the show in its early stages. Sparks, Lewis and Lambert are probably the best choices having survived a competition themselves! .... Does anybody know if this mentoring gig will be a one-time thing like Am.Idol9, or will it be structured like The Voice, and Adam will work with one kid over several/many episodes?

@mys*&@^#r - on my screen there is a little > arrow on the right side next to the tweet and that is what I use. It opens up a window on the right where you see the original tweet (s). But I am a total beginner on twitter, so hope some of the pros can still help you out better. Otherwise, I just came in to post that my thoughts are with all the people working for Sony in the UK. I am on a selfish standpoint glad that Adam's CD is not quite in the warehouses yet, but I feel for all those artists whose records were there, as well as the employees, other business owners and everyone else impacted by this. www.upi.com/Entertainment_News/Music/2011/08/09/Sony-warehouse-burned-to-ground-in-London-riots/UPI-91551312898746/My sister is in London today, Gelly is in London and of course we have many members from the UK on this forum. Please all stay safe. This whole situation MAKES. ME. VERY. ANGRY.

If you look at the song 'Destroyed' it shows both a BC Jean and the Brittany Carlson Jean as co writers so they aren't the same... From BC Jean Wiki: Britney Jean Carlson (born 1987), known better by her stage name BC Jean,[2][3] is an American singer-songwriter and pop/rock singer, best known for writing Beyoncé hit single, "If I Were a Boy", which premiered on music industry website "Crazed Hits" in May 2008,[4] several months prior to Beyoncé getting a hold of the song and recording it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BC_JeanI don't know why they register with ASCAP and other licensing group under different names. Maybe she writes under her legal name and stage name because of name transition? Wow, she and Adam do have many parallels; she grew up in San Diego, lived for a time in Carmel Valley (ala Mt. Carmel High School, where he went) and her BFF is named Danielle (also her manager). She's also gorgeous and very talented. Her album is already out, I believe. Thanks for bringing those tweets over, lynneville.

Hey Everyone! Just checking in as I have finally finished my move and made it to NYC. First NYC experience as a resident? Spending an hour and a half traipsing around my neighborhood at 11pm trying to convince my thoroughly grass-fed doggie to get over her decided lack of conviction about sidewalks and their potential toilet suitability and take care of the one damn duty she has in her otherwise pampered day . Had hilarious conversations with other random dog-owners wiser in the ways of the big-city-wee than I. LOL good to be making friends with the neighbors already : . Fortunately, she (the doggie) appears to be a quick study. SO, now I've frantically been catching up on the last week. Didn't miss much, did I ??? ;D. Watched BTM <3 (on VH1 like a good girl, Cassie ) Thanks to all of you who posted links. And I gather that Adam and Sauli were going to get married, Adam in Gaultier leopard-beads and Sauli in a lacy white McQueen number (a la Princess Kate) and Brian May wasn't invited, but song-collaborator Benny Blanco was, and he got jealous and smashed the cake to smitherines, (at which point a drunk Perez Hilton, who had crashed the party, force-fed the pieces to grooms-maid Lady Gaga), which bought the proceedings to a screeching halt, and Adam cancelled the wedding, leaving Sauli in tears and a soggy white lacy dress, yes? (Cue high-drama portentous BTM backing soundtrack...) Did I get that just about right? Anyone? US magazine? ;D All caught up now and looking forward to some stormy weather (it drizzled in NYC today and at first I was like, what's that wet stuff? AUSTIN=HOT+DRY). Just hope things get a little less stormy in London. 2/3 of my family are living there right now, but they say that they just watch it on tv like the rest of us--their neighborhoods are fine, thankfully. Nice to be back. NOW I've GOTTA go start UNpacking MWP!!!! Happy to see you BB!!!! Your summary of what you missed is awesome and entirely correct. It's amazing that so much flail could be contained in a single paragraph. Does this mean you can watch SYTYCD with us (and by "us" I mean "me") this week?
