Those last posts on yesterday's ATOP were fascinating to me. I just wish I could express myself like some of you do on this website. I love reading them all.

Adam looks so carefree/flirty/happy walking down the street. Wearing ripped shorts and a plaid shirt with tails along with his signature fingerless gloves......ILH. :D

I wanted to comment on Craazyforadam post from yesterday.
"The Detail photoshoot was wonderfully done. I think that vast amounts of peeps just did not get it. Did not understand the playfulness and the mindfuck that was intended. Too many took it as Adam tries to play it straight, and OUT magazine was just demonstrating that.
I thought it was great, was totally post-gay as Adam would call it, until I realized that people were not getting it. Would they get it today? Depends how it is done, but if done like these still photos, then I still think people would not get it.Ev eryone seems so over-invested in that whole gay topic that every measure of normally gets lost along the way. It is after all just one part of a whole persona, not something that has to be regarded with such emphasis. But that seems just impossible these days. At least here in the US."
But I like that Adam is thinking about all of this. Maybe he tries to show the absurdity of it all. Maybe he wants to bring some humorous aspect back into the discussion. Dunno."
I agree with this. I got the photo shoot and really liked it. He was hot. But there was even an interview with it where Adam discussed his sexuality. Anyone without an agenda would have known he was not claiming straightness. I think what happened to Adam was other people tried to take his sexuality as theirs to control. There are artists who have transcended race and sexuality with fans, media and general public and have had great success. Sam, Frank, Beyonce, Rihanna etc. Adam was never allowed to do that. When he came off Idol and addressed his sexuality, I remember that someone from Glaad said something like it is great he did that but he is going to need to say it over and over again. My thought was he is trying to start a music career. Why don't you all throw your support behind him and show that an out artist can have mainstream success. But that did not seem to be important to anyone. It needed to be all about one part of him and not the rest. When he was on the Idol tour and the women were throwing bras on stage to him, he was interviewed by Lyndsay. She asked him why didn't he put the bra on. Adam said no, I'm not going to put on a bra. He seemed annoyed that she would even ask him to humor her. Would she have said that to Sam or Frank as they were embarking on their music careers or ever? I don't think so. The media never makes their sexuality the issue. Because Adam has never hidden his sexuality many expected him to keep it front and center at all times. Even when he did not, someone else did. Fans, media, public. Frank and Sam addressed their sexuality then said now back to my music and my talent. So people think of their talent first and the sexuality does not seem to matter to most. They are proud of them and their accomplishments but there is no demand or expectations that they show the world just how gay they are. Adam is proud of who he is. But there is so much more to him than his sexuality. I wish he were allowed (by the gatekeepers) to let the world see and hear his talent. He is a role model but could be an even bigger one if more people could see and hear him and his enormous talent and heart. They would know that he is indeed accepted and his sexuality is a part of who he is but not the only part.

They would know that he is indeed accepted and his sexuality is a part of who he is but not the only part. Well put and beautifully stated.. Today is a new day and I don't believe Adam is going through what he did in the past.. For the most part,he chooses or allows friends to show what he wants to be seen of his private life on instagram , youtube,etc..I don't see the press chasing him to talk about his sexuality any more... IMHO Everything happened so fast for Adam that he didn't have real time to chart a path, other than being a recording star .. Now he has the time ,there is less scrutiny... he intimated on a couple of interviews, Ru Paul comes to mind, that he was thinking of the future because he was now 35 years old and he has to make some decisions on his career and life.. Life changes Every 7 years kind of thing .What he decides will be very interesting, because in my opinion,He has it all.. what does Adam want now.. Queen won't go on forever... the music business is drastically changing, but still a bit homophobic.. so where does that glorious man with that glorious voice go . To paraphrase Adam to Ru..Oy Where do we put that Jewy ginger .
