I think Adam is extremely passionate about his music - he lives and breathes music - and for now I can't see him wanting it on the back burner. I also would like him to have the opportunity to diversify more, but more in support of him being a music artist. Another hit single would be nice. I didn't mean to imply that Adam wants his music to be on the back burner. His music is his passion. But QAL has given him a lucrative "comfort zone" for a while. We'll never know what he'd be doing now if he never got the Queen gig. Maybe some other big thing would have popped up for him. Who knows? The ideal situation is to be able to move to one career "part" to another from time to time, without losing any ground. I think of Justin Timberlake, for example. He doesn't HAVE to just do music. He doesn't HAVE to just do acting. He's been able to spread out his career across many things. Jared Leto is another example. JHud was lucky to get that movie role. It changed everything for her. Like Justin T, she just becomes a media personality who can plop into various roles. And she is very safe and acceptable to a broad audience, very mainstream. Without Dreamgirls, she likely would be plugging along like so many others, hoping to get that next hit song. I predict she'll become a kind of fixture, showing up on various shows here and there. Doing occasional performances, maybe more acting if she's lucky. But I don't see her has a chart-topper. And she has very healthy endorsement contracts.I I know you didn't mean to imply that, and my response could have been worded better. I think we want exactly the same for Adam, as we see so much in him, just like many others here on this fandom. About JHud...I think it is a relevant discussion as she is an Idol Alum like Adam ... I remember being surprised back then on Idol when she was voted off early, and her performance on Dreamgirls was impressive, in fact I think it was that one song that she nailed, but ... she never really grabbed me enough to follow her. She may have real good management as she pops up everywhere, but I almost feel like she may turn into one of those celebrities who are known for being known. She got lucky. I am wondering if she has a passionate fanbase like Adam. I think she is very different from Adam, and safe. And her Weight Watchers success story was a nice little boost. On the other hand, Adam has Queen. I wonder how many of his peers wonder how he nails that gig so incredibly well. He also was lucky, as Brian and Roger saw in him what we see, and they trusted it. Now I hope that his label and management will trust it too.

I don't think Jennifer Hudson has had any endorsement deals after the one ended with Weight Watchers years ago. She does have a lot of opportunities tho but I think it is a matter of perception or who is acceptable for certain things. Of course, she also has her Oscar and Grammy's and they are big deals. But I think she got The Voice US because she was on The Voice UK. Although she seems to have made her biggest money before Adam came on the scene. Because if you look at the Forbes list after he started making it (don't know what she made before that), he has done better at least financially. 1/12 Adam 6mil./ Jennifer 2 mil. 1/13 Adam 1.5/ Jennifer 3 1/14 Adam 5 /Jennifer 1 1/15 Adam 2.5 /Jennifer did not make the list that year 1/16 Adam 10 mil /Jennifer did not make the list that year They did not have a list for 1/17 but I'm pretty sure Adam would have been higher with his solo world tour and his Queen tours. But I think TV will open many bigger doors for Jennifer now with endorsements and movies and a nice Voice payday. I have already seen her on some shows. That is probably the only reason I wanted Adam to get Idol was for the opportunities it would bring for him. But he is doing great on his own so I hope that continues. And an endorsement or acting gig would be great as well.

When I see JHud on commercials, etc. and now on The Voice, I just kind of assume she is making millions all the time. I want the same for Adam, BUT I want him to make it big doing what he loves most. Making and performing his own music for years to come. With luck and good timing, I think he can become a media personality, too. He sure has the knack for it. Smarts, wit, etc. JHud got some good breaks. And thanks for reminding about her being on The Voice UK. Makes sense now. When QAL is over, I want him to emerge strong and proud and profitable. Thanks again!

I remember that too. He said he "fu**ed" up. Love Runnin. One of my all time favorites. Pretty sure Runnin got bumped down to a Bonus Track when NCOE got added to the album. :(
