Today I tried to run and had my Adam Playlist on...gotta say "mad world" doesn't make for a good running song, even if it's sung by Adam^^...especially if the Playlist is in alphabetical order and 'mad world' comes right after 'Lucy'
I like Pink but is OK that I'm not blown away by her resent work? I love her stories about her children not giving a shit about who she is and keeping her grounded lool

I know it is not cool to find the terms distasteful and all but I just watched the Jeffree Star gif and once again, back throwing the "bitch" word....When a community takes a term that is derogative to them, and own it and de-fang it by using it while not 'letting' others use it...that is a common way to take the sting out of a term....the perfect example is the African American communities ownership and use of 'nigger' [hard to even write it out]. Yet the gay community thinks nothing of taking words that have been used for years and years as epithets towards women....derogative and diminishing....and they use them constantly. Bitch and Cunt[y] are two obvious ones. I seriously do not believe they have that right. They have plenty of their own pejorative words to neutralize yet they use those referencing women instead...as if they had that right. Imagine if every time we got all dressed up...a little over the top [think an AFL concert ]....and tweeted out "Oh I feel so 'faggy' or 'swishy'.....that would be horrid....I can't imagine any of us doing that as we know it would be hurtful. So.....why do we let it be done to us? I am just throwing this out here...would never use FB or Twitter for something like this because, first of all....the choruses of 'denial' of meaning and the shaming for not liking this practise would push you off social media for good, I am sure. And honestly, it is not that deep....just another little chiselling away at the last permissible subject of generalized contempt. The argument is that they don't 'mean' it....but can you imagine using the 'fa###word or the ni### word and making the same claim....how do you suppose that would go over.... Oh well....carry on atop....got that off my chest...

Oh well....carry on atop....got that off my chest... mszue, I totaling get what you mean. Words that get "hi-jacked" by one group or another really rile our sensibilities sometimes. But there's nothing that really can be done about it. Language is always an evolving thing. Slang comes and goes. What is appropriate in one era is totally inappropriate in another. Look how often "fuck" is used in casual conversation now? That would have been unheard of not too many years ago. There's just no stopping it. And social media makes it even easier to take words and twist them into new shapes and meanings. Certain ethnic or racial groups kind of "own" certain words in their own way. But before too long, things change again. And so it goes.
