Hey guys - just popping in to put my $.02 on the RT quote.
A. First regarding the "rumor" posted at QZ. That was a troll. I'd bet on it. QZ gets a lot of trolls. Hell, just recently someone trolled they had a copy of an unheard gig from 1979. It was a windup that lasted for days. As much as B&R love Adam. I have a VERY hard time picturing them reshuffling anything at this point in their career. Hell, everyone I've talked to say from top to bottom their orders from on high were to keep Queen COMPLETELY separate from Queen +. To me that was a laughable non-starter rumor from the get go. I can't see it ever being anything but Queen + Adam Lambert.
B. The Roger quote? The one with one google translated source? I'd take that with a BIG grain of salt. Roger has always been the most effusive when discussions turned to recording together. He is probably the one who most wants to do it. Brian seems the most hesitant and Adam seems to be pretty okay either way. It does make sense if they want to continue touring as they've toured the world twice on basically the same set list.
He also has made the most outlandish claims before too.
1993 - John and him were going to continue Queen without Brian and were talking about touring
1997 - Queen would reform and head to the studio to record a new album
2011 - Taylor Hawkins and he are going to do a small club tour - the Taylor and Taylor tour with songs from his era, Taylor's era, and some rock standards.
(just a couple)
Now I don't think he'd lie about going to a studio BUT that's where the google translate comes into play.
I'd also find it EXTREMELY strange that they'd stop in a studio in Nashville during the tour. They have never recorded in Nashville previously. I mean mostly it's the UK and I would figure that if they wanted to start something, they'd start in one of their home studios where they control everything. AND even if they wanted to do it in the US, they mostly have recorded in Los Angeles...Nashville just strikes me as a weird choice.
***Another note - Tyler Warren is from Nashville...so it's possible they got studio info from him...OR perhaps Adam sang on a Tyler Warren recording - he works with guys in that area.***
BUT at the end of the day - BIG HEAPING grain of salt. I don't believe anything they say until there's a press release and then I half believe it til I get it in my hands.
