Last night Adam was honored at the EQCA Awards. Here are some of the highlights.

Adam arrived at the red carpet with Sauli and Leila. They all look gorgeous and happy.

The first press video from the event came from MaximoTV. (They will also be covering tonight’s VH1 Do Something Awards taping.)

'You know obviously this is like a huge civil rights movement that we're in the middle of right now... and very similar to the racial civil rights movement that we had in the 60's. I think this will go down, and I think that we will progress and move forward, and I think that everything that we're dreaming of is gonna come true. So we're gonna have high hopes and just keep pushing forward.'

Adam walks confidently into the audition room and calmly states: I"m not scared."

Adam tears up the stage with Black or White, days after the pics of him kissing Cheeks are splattered all across the internet.

Adam proudly claims his sexual orientation in Rolling Stone, and in every other interview that constantly brings it up. He is not militant, he is not apologetic, he is charming and patient.

Adam goes on national TV after the AMAs, owns his performance, comments articulately about double standards, and admits that he was responsible for not clearing everything with ABC during rehearsals.

Adam takes the GNT to Malaysia where many are concerned for his safety, charms the press, and gives a great performance.

Adam walks the red carpet with his boyfriend, holding his hand.

We all think of Adam as fierce and fearless. It is only long after the fact that an answer in an interview will give us a glimpse to the fears Adam felt along the way, but never showed, never admitted to, and pushed aside to do what he had to do, what he wanted to do. Adam is NOT fearless. He is courageous in the face of fears.

- Adam being stalked and getting death threats during the Idol tour.
