Found on twitter I believe that people who are blessed to be born into the spectacular and fierce GLBT community are an elite group of souls who have come into this Universe at a much higher level of soul evolution than the rest of us, and they are here to teach us lessons of compassion, equality, kindness, unconditional love, openheartedness and true love. I’ve learned a lot about these qualities by having my own amazing GLBT family and friends in my life. 2011-08-15 12:43:32 Smokeyvera, love the tweet you posted. Two of my three children are gay. Thinking of them, and of Adam, I believe there is a lot of truth in the beautiful statement above. Michelle Bachmann scares me. I know this is an unevolved statement to make, but she reminds me of a Stepford Wife. I can't believe she's running for president. |

This was posted at IDF, I'm not sure which show it is. The clip I saw had Ryan Seacreat at the start of it. She's laughin at his "medges" and Adam has to explain it to her that IT IS men shoes by Rick Owens. It's funny that E! News reporter doesn't know fashions. :-/ |

This is for Michele Bachmann  !! What a fool! That made me LOL, Adamrocks! The thing is I've been "auditioning" churches and many people love Glenn Beck, and think that MB must be just a wonderful woman, because "social services would not allow her to have all those foster children otherwise," and she must be good with money budgeting for those kids. Needless to say I've hightailed it out of more than a few. Never have I read the fine print about human rights policies so closely. ETA: no political or religious potshots meant. Just commenting because Adam did. Want to acknowledge the rules about social issues and politics here on wonderful atop and to acknowledge that there are many who sincerely have different opinions. The thing that makes me sad is that each of these people has a right to vote just like you, me, and Adam! :  I'm going to fess up to what I did this afternoon after being totally disgusted with Michelle Bachmann and those who watch that video and see no problem with it. After years of being very active in politics, local, state, and national, I got sick of it and now limit my participation to informed voting. I sent that video with my (fairly pithy, honest, maybe hostile) evaluation to many of my email contacts. That included a few pastors at my old church, lots of seriously (and I don't think homophobic) Christian friends, and anyone else I thought would be anything other than downright hostile to MB. The responses were enlightening and mostly in the category of "Oh my God, I had no idea." There was only one that semi-agreed on the homosexuality is a sin idea and I made sure she remembered that 2 of her three children are living with boyfriend and girlfriend respectively without benefit of marriage and that is FORNICATION according to the Bible - lots of places in the Bible. Two years ago I would have allowed this vid to pass with a shake of my head, but for lots of reasons I can't do that any more. Ignorance IS bliss until it hits you in the head with a 2 x 4. Maybe it seems shallow to many, but to me, Adam's rights are worth fighting for. No lectures on the bigger picture of the whole G & L community, right now I'm just looking at the snapshot and it gives me plenty of motivation. |

@orangeslushie @adamlambert do i think she's politically correct, no. but just bc she doesn't agree w/ homosexuality doesnt make her ignorant

@adamlambert @orangeslushie her view IS ignorant. She is stereotyping and generalizing the lifestyle as one kind of life. We are way more diverse! I would love to see Lambert's men face to face with people like Bachman |

Oh, man, I hate that wording--"she doesn't agree with homosexuality." It's like saying that Hitler didn't agree with Jews, or the Ku Klux Klan didn't agree with blacks. Bigotry is much worse than just being politically incorrect. It's hateful and dangerous and yes, ignorant. I hate it when people try to make it sound as if all opinions are equal, and that people should be tolerant of intolerance. Well said! I am going to use that if you don't mind. |

OMG...this is freaking awesome....I need to figure out a way to get more actively involved this election too. Never have been, aside from voting but I just cannot sit on the sidelines and watch this happen. I keep thinking it's a joke & everyone knows it's a sad, sorry joke, but the I get afraid no one is going to stop it! |

Regarding Brooke's wedding - I'm sorry I forgot who mentioned that it might be this weekend. I know it's weird and wrong, but I'm excited by the thought that Adam might be up here in the Bay Area this weekend!!!!

I emailed it out to family and friends and I hope I get a response back. If I don't...I will email them again and ask their thoughts on this bigoted woman. Once I would have shook my head at her but would have done nothing but not anymore. I'm feeling enough is enough! Adam has truly made me realize that this is a civil rights struggle right NOW and I won't be silent anymore but I will call out the homophobic bigots and make them accountable for their hurtful words. |
