I think it was referring to the short interview Adam did at Equality where he said he's done 30-35 songs? No...it was something that Q saiid about a source saying he has 20 songs. I wasn't sure what she meant considering he said he has abt 35 he is working on....didn't know if that meant he has 20 he really likes, has narrowed down to, or wants to put 20 songs on the album, or has 20 songs about his love of medges....what is it?? LOL |

Twitter news about Adam #2. Still tentative, but nice to actually hear something official!  RT @adamnews_de: The latest Sony Music International Newsletter for Germany announces Adam's new album for the 4th November at the moment. Of course, there's no title indicated yet. Also, there's still plenty of time for changes so that this date isn't set in stone completely. As soon as we get further information we'll keep you updated. What a nice thing to read first AM!!! These dates are usually accurate. And Friday 11/4/11 lines up with the date we got from a large retailer of 11/8/11 for the US. I am secretly hoping for 11.11.11 ---- I am sure Eber would pick that. I know it is one week later but what a beautiful date!! Regards, Q3 ETA: This will be a global release and that usually means that UK/Europe is Monday, US/Canada/Asia-Pacific Tuesday. I think this will be a Monday release -- the charts still matter. 11/4/11 is a Friday. Unless they have a strange promotional plan -- that points to a 11/7-11/8/11 release. I bet on 11/7/11 GLOBAL release. All synchronized. The only reason to release on 11/4/11 in Germany is if they were doing some special promotion. As much I would love it if it is released on 11/4 in Germany ;D, I think it will be global release on 11/7, too. till 11/7 there are 82 days left :  |

Releasing it abroad a few days before the US release has me a little lot worried about it being ripped. :-/ NOT ME!! I'm FLAIIIIIILLLLLLIIINNNGGG   The songs have been previewed long before the release by then. I had my official download the Friday before the Tuesday release of FYE (I was on a cruise that weekend and was listening to it the whole time and it was my iTunes d/l) and IIRC, our Amazon presale CDs came the week before the CD actually dropped. When I was at the "Tonight Show" on 11/13, we got the extras of "Master Plan" and one other to d/l. Four days is not going to make a difference, especially if it's standard practice for Germany. It's not the fans I was actually worried about. But people who think ripping music is a "free download." But those people will rip no matter when it comes out, I guess. |

Chunkey, I am as confused as you are about the 20 songs, and for exactly the same reasons. I totally understand it's just a rumour, but I don't really understand what the rumour is *about* exactly. If anyone has the kindness to pm me as well that would be much appreciated.

Did anyone expound more on this 20 song rumor from the other day? I was kinda confused as to what that meant exactly. Not that I won't take everything with an iceberg of salt or anything, but I was curious. Thx =) The rumor --- and I underscore that I cannot verify it --- came from me. There will be about 20 finished tracks for sale from the Adam #2 project. Not all tracks are planned for all versions. That is a fairly large number of tracks for an album in 2011. Lady Gaga had a total of 17 tracks from BTW excluding remixes -- on her Special Edition (SE) album. If true -- this indicates that there is a lot of decent music from the Adam #2 project AND that there will be SE/Deluxe products. USUALLY -- not always -- an album cycle that produces a lot of finished tracks = a good album. A finished track is one that is fully produced -- not a song that is written and has a demo. Album cycles that result in 10 - 14 finished tracks (most typical now) are all over the board. The big exceptions to the "lots of tracks" = good music comes from megastars who can do whatever they want and indie/partially indie artist who write and produce their own music. So if Katy Perry wanted to spend the money to produce 30 finished tracks, her label would be there with a checkbook. An indie type artist, Bon Iver for example, who has their own studio and is self produced can do 1,000 finished tracks -- cause there is no upfront fees to mega producers and top writers. Adam is not a mega star (yet) and is working in major studios, with top producers and top collaborators -- the extra tracks would = money. I am really trying to find out more about Adam #2 -- but I think he should title it -- Shroud of Secrecy.  |
