I know I'm staring like a laser beam, but it's amazing how often I can see Adam and Sauli. He definitely stands out in a crowd. Really easy to find! 8-) They are certainly a striking pair.

I was just going to laugh and say I'll bet Adam doesn't know who Tony Hawk is when they said he's from San Diego, so maybe he does!

Q3, you seem so emphatic that the brass transition at RCA has nothing to do with the release dates (and I don't think Adam's has been postponed or jostled – fortunate timing on his part), but I don't see how they couldn't have affected the entire calendar. RCA hasn't had a major release all summer it seems (I follow RCA Music and RCA Promo and they certainly haven't been hyping much from anyone new.) Kelly has been in limbo for months. If TPTB must approve final products, how could they do this if they weren't in place yet? It still seems like they prepared for the shift by keeping the calendar very open this summer. And I don't think they affected Adam's timeline, because his seems to be consistent with what was predicted all along, but to say they haven't affected the corporate timelines at all seems a little difficult to believe. How could a change in the entire corporate structure NOT have some affect on the schedules of the company? Especially when we've witnessed some idleness in July and August. First of all, the entire corporate structure of RCA did not change. Oddly, RCA is the least changed piece of Sony Music Entertainment. The "big" changes..... 1. Jive got folded into RCA - no effect on Adam. 2. Peter Edge named chief executive of the RCA Music Group, which includes the RCA, Jive, J and Arista labels. Since 2007, Edge was president, A&R of RCA Music Group. -- No effect on Adam. Same head of A&R for RCA. 3. Tom Corson was named President & Chief Operating Officer of the RCA Music Group. In this role, he will report to Edge and oversee promotion, marketing, publicity, digital, sales, international, video and operations for the label group. He ysed ti be Executive Vice President/General Manager, RCA Music Group, where he oversaw operations for RCA, J and Arista Records. So the only change is he now has Jive - no effect on Adam. Same guy who ran the show before for RCA is still calling the shots. 4. They consolidated RCA and Jive promo staffs -- no effect on Adam because these are not strategic positions -- they are tactical positions. I do not see what would effect Adam in these changes. He was well into the Adam 2 project before the changes and there seems to be no attempt to change anything. Adam has good numbers and a solid business plan -- why change anything? The big change for Adam was when Barry Weiss left RCA for Universal -- Barry was an openly enthusiastic supporter of Adam. If Adam had not done well with FYE, that would have mattered. But Adam did well so he did not need a high-powered advocate. And he probably never will. So I may be missing something but I do not see any Sony changes that are going to affect Adam. The Jive artists are a different matter. I certainly take your word for it, but in any company I've ever been affiliated with, if the CEO, the president and COO and the director of marketing and promotions have turned over, that's considered somewhat of a major transition. Not to mention the CEO of the parent company. It just seemed likely that these people who are heading the company in fall would want SOME final approval on product they are launching to the world. Or would at least hold much of the product until the executive team is in place before launching. I really don't think that is at all far-fetched. Like I said, I don't think it affected Adam in any way, because he was timed right, but to say it's completely inconsequential goes against anything I've ever known about corporate America. (And the roster was rather quiet these last two months.)

(And the roster was rather quiet these last two months.) I see your point and if you look at the whole of SME I agree. If you narrow the focus to just Adam Lambert (the only artist that matters to me). He has the same head of A&R and the same head of promotion, marketing, finance, distro, etc. So I think very little has changed for Adam. The only organizational changes for Adam are the CEO of Sony Music Entertainment changed -- and he eliminated the RCA/Jive CEO job (that was Barry Weiss' job). ETA: Welcome home Cookie!!

I love to see them having fun. That picture is soooo damn cute. And those poor kids behind him probably can't see. Oh well kids, deal. ;D BTW, the Beiber fan flail on Twitter was so cute. I don't have an open TweetDeck search for Adam's name, but many in my feed do and they always say it just blows up whenever Adam is on TV with OMG! He's so beautiful, etc., etc.
