I hope that Adam doesn't do something he would rather not just because stinky Hicklin goads him into it. :-/ I do not think Adam could ever be goaded into doing anything he did not want to do. And if he could be goaded into something, that would have happened last year. I hope he is back and it is for the OUT 100 -- that would make it a full circle moment. ITA and I think Adam would have laid down some requests before even considering their offer. Obviously, from BTM, Adam sees the entire situation for what it is and he was pissed. He said so. I REALLY think, when OUT realized they wanted him for this issue (whatever it is), they came, on bended knee, and pitched their concept. (Which is how it works.) If you've had "issues" with a publication/company in the past, you come to them with a mea culpa. Adam is definitely the bigger person, but not a pushover. My thoughts are that he would request some form of acknowledgement of the TRULY unfair and heinous treatment he received two years ago from Aaron Hicklin (that shit was so seriously over the top and uncalled for, I can't even begin to process it). I HOPE before Adam even considered a pitch from them, the law would be laid down: Aaron, you need to address and rectify this, bitch. |

Totally agree SusieFierce and I hope this is how it went down, actually, if it is true at all that he is in their magazine again.

SusieFierce that makes lots of sense. And if I remember correctly, Adam was in the 2009 OUT 100 but not in the 2010 OUT 100. It would look ridiculous if he was not in the 2011 OUT 100 so my guess is that OUT came to Adam. I hope he is on the cover this time too.

It was interesting reading the Mark Kanemura article. Growing up a musical theater kid, I bet he and Adam had fun comparing notes - from childhood experiences to finding out how tough it is in show biz, and the reality show experience. Really a lot in common!

I think Hicklin was partly responsible for the anger that Adam had when he appeared on the AMAs I so agree with this. I think Adam admitted as much during that post-AMA interview with Jim Cantiello. Hicklin's letter was despicable IMO but the timing made it even worse. |

I want Adam in OUT magazine, but only if he wants to be there. The visibility gained through OUT magazine in the GLBT community is important, even if Hicklin behaved like an ass. I trust Adam to take care of himself in his business dealings. I appreciate that he does not hold back with his opinions and that as he matures into being a public figure, he continues to be gracious, friendly and fabulous along with being more articulate and outspoken. |
