Am at work now but just could help myself but to post this one. You gotta love Piers Morgan "Christine O'Donnell Walks Out During 'Piers Morgan Tonight' Interview "news.yahoo.com/christine-odonnell-walks-piers-morgan-tonight-interview-011635684.htmlIn a clip, posted on CNN.com ahead of "Piers Morgan Tonight," O'Donnell and Morgan seemed to spar over what was appropriate to ask an interview guest after Morgan brought up gay marriage. "Right now I'm curious about whether you support gay marriage," he said. "You're borderline being a little bit rude," O'Donnell responded. "I obviously want to talk about the issues that I choose to talk about in the book." Morgan went on to ask if she addressed gay marriage in her new book, "Troublemaker," something O'Donnell said she did, but refused to address in the CNN interview. "Do you answer that question in the book?" he asked. "I talk about my religious beliefs, yeah," O'Donnell said, nodding in the affirmative. "Do you talk about gay marriage in the book?" he probed further. "What relevance is that right now?" O'Donnell replied. "Is there a piece of legislation?" O'Donnell went on to tell Morgan he was being "a little rude." "I think I'm being rather charming and respectful," the "America's Got Talent" judge chimed in. "I'm just asking you questions based on your own public statements and now, what you've written in your own book. It's hardly rude to ask you that, surely?" "Well, don't you think, as a host, if I say, 'This is what I want to talk about,' that's what we should address," she asked. "Not really, no," he said.

Does anyone know if there is a stream of the VH1 Do something Awards this evening? Hard to tell with VH1; they're on to our little schemes. It will likely be YTed after each Adam part, I imagine. LOL, adamme! Piers: "Not really, no" Um, Christine, he's the host of a CNN interview show, not a dinner party. How can she have been around so long and be so colossally stupid? Yeah, CNN is really going to tailor it's questions to fit your ridiculous agenda. This whole political situation is the very definition of comedy and tragedy. Happy birthday, dibaby!!!

Did we see this interview response from Nigel Lythgoe? I think Idol def has some 'splainin to do for it's occasional past treatment of gay contestants, and perhaps even more so for the pretty suspect "banter" between, say, Ryan and Simon, but I gotta say I think old uncle toothy has a point here: You probably saw NBC’s The Voice judge Adam Levine saying Idol should show openly gay contestants. What do you think of that and could that change next season? To be frank, I didn’t understand why we’re talking about contestants being gay or not gay. I don’t go into my dentist and say, “Are you gay?” I don’t say to contestants on So You Think You Can Dance, “Are you gay?” What does it got to do with me? What does it got to do with anybody? When does privacy stop in this country? If somebody wants to say they’re gay, it’s up to them. You don’t expect us to turn around and say, “Are you gay?” Why would we do that? — “By the way, he’s a Catholic and he supports Obama and here’s his sexuality” — what does that have anything to do with singing talent? Maybe it does for Adam Levine, but not for me.
So the reason nobody has been openly gay on Idol is that it’s up to the contestant. Did [season eight Idol contestant] Adam Lambert come out?
Afterwards, I believe so. He must have come out before being on Idol, he just didn’t talk about it on Idol. And why should he? Is every actor going on television going to say, “I’m only playing the part of a straight man, I’m really gay”? There’s no reason that I would see why anybody that goes on television should start coming out with who they are, what they are, what they’re sexuality is, who they’re going to vote for or what their religion is. And I like how he points out that Adam was out before Idol (and essentially passively out on the show--he certainly wasn't in). Too often that little detail gets ignored. insidetv.ew.com/2011/08/17/idol-emmys-producer/

After all, rock 'n' roll is all about pushing boundaries. How much I love the fact that they place him among these people, I cannot tell you. :D

Q3, you seem so emphatic that the brass transition at RCA has nothing to do with the release dates (and I don't think Adam's has been postponed or jostled – fortunate timing on his part), but I don't see how they couldn't have affected the entire calendar.
RCA hasn't had a major release all summer it seems (I follow RCA Music and RCA Promo and they certainly haven't been hyping much from anyone new.) Kelly has been in limbo for months. If TPTB must approve final products, how could they do this if they weren't in place yet? It still seems like they prepared for the shift by keeping the calendar very open this summer.
And I don't think they affected Adam's timeline, because his seems to be consistent with what was predicted all along, but to say they haven't affected the corporate timelines at all seems a little difficult to believe. How could a change in the entire corporate structure NOT have some affect on the schedules of the company? Especially when we've witnessed some idleness in July and August.

And Piers is good at the calm, who me? look. Well, the more idiotic and secretive these women look in public, the better. And since when do guests assume they can dictate the line of questioning? It’s one thing to be asked questions about your family or your personal life, but to ban sections of a book you are on their to promote? Ridiculous. I have to admit I did enjoy watching both her and MB squirm.
