Too bad they didn't show as much enthusiasm when it came to buying his last album. (I know, that was kinda mean ... sorry.) LOL, I saw that the other day. Even Bieber only had half of what Adam did. Just another hit ploy. Like they're really going to have Archuleta headline their Jingle Ball because he got the most votes? Yeah, no. Oh, and going back to the OUT discussion, Q3, ITA that Out needs Adam more than Adam needs Out. I'm sure national print magazines are well aware that Adam can sell out a title if he's on the cover. He gives great interview. He will play with any look they want and isn't intimidated to do edgy photo shoots. DMG seem to be VERY good at this kind of thing. Katy has been on the cover of countless women's magazines. I would venture to say, I think she may have had close to a cover a month for the past 1.5 years. I had a free subscription to Glamour for awhile (just started showing up at my house ???) and she was on at least three covers, I believe. Anyway, DMG seems to have deep contacts in national print media. However, I do kind of disagree about what Hicklin was asking from Adam. I didn't perceive it as asking him to be an activist, but more "the entire 'gay cause' is riding on your back, so you better represent ..." (according to our diverse, capricious and completely subjective specifications). Then of course there were the words that made me see red and still do: "Don't mess this up ..."    |

I'm torn on this one because I had to endure Gomez as well as a few other guest. Although Adam wore a fab outfit, he was only on stage for 15-20 minutes tops and I truly believe a lot were there for Beiber. So I don't know if my friend and I are willing to sit thru all that screaming. Plus our seats were costly and horrible, parking was $25.00 SO I might pass on this one and just buy his tickets for his solo tour. :-/ |

Well, maybe Gene Simmons! Yeah, file him under the More Obnoxious Than Your Stage Persona in RL. There were several who were asses, but in a garden-variety asshole kind of way. Gene Simmons was the one element of sleaze on last night’s DSA show. It’s always about him. I can’t imagine him ever putting anything or anyone before himself. He’s a ludicrous ass. |

Adam puts so 100 % into his performances, then when he is between songs his energy level sinks, he takes a breather gets ready for the next song.
You can see how this ...wut...now I am supposed to just chat....is somehow messing with him.
And I agree that he probably is also aware of the arch of the whole show and this therefore does not fit. So it becomes this artificial interruption and with brain on half - level at that moment during the pause we get: " Are you having fun?"....etc.
When something naturally happens during the show, like the 'fairy', its wonderful and spontaneous and very creative and memorable. Adam at his best.
In many ways, this is where our habit to record every show and compare every second of what is happening backfires. Because in a theatrical show like Adam's there is room for scripted speech, but probably he feels he cannot give us the same story every day. I think he can, especially, if it is then a bit more substance or just entertaining - not preachy stuff.
The fact that we have all these youtubes and compare back and forth is irrelevant for the rest of the audience that is only seeing that one show.
Imo he might be better off scripting out a few sections to give himself a breather and then when other things happen spontaneously and he does not need it, great.
