During GNT, Adam was still establishing who is is, what he does, and how far he can take things. From the beginning when he touted GNT as being family friendly to Amsterdam, lots of things changed. It’s the old “Once burned, twice shy.” AMAs were definitely the burn and that kind of brouhaha would certainly cause Adam to be a little wary in the beginning. It seems that he has found a solid ground that allows him to combine mainstream with the Adam sauciness that we enjoy and he seems to need and do naturally. I think Montreal was a little taste of what Adam will be projecting in the future, with more pizazz, bells, and whistles, knowing Adam, but not the feathers and sequins. I’ve thought and thought about what the next tour will be like and can’t even imagine what he will come up with. We admire and gasp at tight rope walkers for a reason - it ain’t easy.So true! Adam seems to be doing it pretty well, doesn't he? He's doing great! It is so hard to be who you are and still meet the expectations of your audience, your label, and your family and friends. Adam really has walked that tightrope skillfully without seeming to pander. None of his spontaneity has been compromised, just molded to who he now wants to be. God, he amazes me daily and just to see those pictures of him on the red carpets and in the audience smiling and enjoying his life are inspiring. We won't even talk about his presence on stage both nights, gorgeous, relaxed, articulate, and again, smiling. Too much gushing, but I'm happy that he seems happy.

Good find Susiefierce, I could watch that scene over and over again. It is wonderful. Don't you wish people like that could be persuaded by logic. Ain't gonna happen. Adamrocks, if that is not what you are talking about, give us some more hints and I am sure we can find it. There was an article that some one posted that led to The West Wing scene. brb. Here's the letter that this scene was based on. It's written as though its a letter to Dr. Laura but it's not clear that it was really sent to her- may have been written as an essay. www.snopes.com/politics/religion/drlaura.asp

Found the WW version and holy fuck, it's a brilliant scene. Damn, Martin Sheen is amaze; hate that he has to deal with a BSC son like Charlie. THANKS. SUSIEFIERCE!! I would love to use the article too if someone runs across it. The whole story is on snopes.com here's the link www.snopes.com/politics/religion/drlaura.asp

I also found a statement (supposedly) by James Kaufmann, the presumed author, who was denying he was the author. So ... I don't know if it's urban legend or what, but it's good either way. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_KauffmanAspen, *rubs up against post inappropriately*

My desperation for new music exceeds my ability to converse today. That is all for now.
