HAPPY BIRTHDAY taumbu & cupofadam!!!
I adored watching Adam last night - the camera loves him and obviously the powers that be recognized this - how many times did he and Sauli get face time?! LOVED!! His presentation with Rose was perfect - as taumbu's hubby says....boy's a "natural".

I absolutely agree Out Magazine would be excellent exposure for Adam. But please. Allow me to indulge in my fantasy: Aaron Hicklin writes an open letter to himself, in which he not only admits he was wrong and incredibly slimy in betraying Adam Fucking Lambert, he also abjectly pleads for forgiveness. He includes a full color photo of himself sobbing, clasping his hands in remorse, and licking Adam's medges as a small gesture of apology and support . He promises Adam will be on the cover-- solo-- of Out Magazine once, even twice, a year for the next 5 years. Finally, he promises to be a better person, and submits his resignation, effective immediately, in order to go back to journalism school and retake all the ethics classes he missed the first time around. There. I feel better now. Ok, its late in the day to bring this up again, but Welcome back aloha, bb! Been missing you.

LambertUK Adam Lambert UK Media Watch: NYS Associated Press Winners Announced - Nippertown! - bit.ly/qyb4Ru (a review of Adam's Palace Theatre concert won) www.nippertown.com/2011/08/18/media-watch-nys-associated-press-winners-announced/The New York State Associated Press Association has announced the winners in its annual state-wide newspaper writing competition, and a number of local writers made the grade: And in the 50,000-125,000 circulation division, The Times Union’s Steve Barnes earned a third place Arts/Entertainment nod for “Lambert’s voice soars,” his review of Adam Lambert’s concert at the Palace Theatre last summer.Read more Interesting. I remember that review well, and focused one of my Sunday posts on the issue of whether Adam was "too nice." I really had/have a problem with Barnes' basic premise, which was that Adam needs to be in reality as badass as his stage persona. Or that Adam needs to be a badass between songs as well as within songs. Quite honestly, his point was unclear. And sorry, but if one of your cultural reference points is Pat freakin Boone... : Anyway, as others have pointed out, Adam is so NOT 2-dimensional. He is a nice guy, and he is a badass. He's sweet and snarky. He's really evolved and emotionally intelligent and genuinely good-hearted, but he's not immune to doing/saying stupid stuff, just like anyone. Expecting some weird consistency in his behavior, on or off-stage, just makes no sense. As for the stage banter, yes I'd love him to relax a bit more with that and I'm sure he will over time. I thought he did great at the Canada concert when he didn't have a strict script as he did for GNT. I think his challenge will be incorporating spontaneous-sounding banter into his shows even when they are set up theatrically. OT but I went to the Adele concert on Monday, and she did a lovely job of bantering and interacting with the audience. Very natural and funny and sweet, and the crowd loved it. But then her set (and most other concerts I've been to) was simply a collection of songs sung in pretty much random order.

We know Adam thinks fast on his feet in interviews and anywhere he has to ad lib. How about the EQCA "speech"? Off the cuff & great imo. I think the problem (if it IS a problem) with GNT was that he was telling a story and perhaps didn't want to interfere with the flow. Didn't want to break that fourth wall entirely. IDK but I do know that GNT is the only place he's been so scripted. At least as far as I recall.
It doesn't matter that much to me. It would be fun to see more banter, but that's not why I go to a concert.

Thank you all for the Birthday Wishes. I have only posted a couple of times, but I am here everyday lurking. You all bring so much happiness to my days with all your pictures (which I have right clicked many) and conversations, and knowledge of topics. I have learned and grown so much as a person being an Adam fan. I have gone to 2 of his concerts 1 on this same day last year. It was awesome. My sister gave it to me as a Birthday present and what a present it was. Can't wait for the new music and I am setting a goal for myself as of today to post at least once a day. Thanks again to all you BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE for the wishes. Welcome cupofadam! Glad you delurked!

I guess if Adam had shooting boobs and was just so cute, he would get lots of airplay. I know Elvis has been good to Adam, but his response is s typical PD. Despite the reference to the cock, it would still get played.
PerezHilton Perez Hilton OMG! Could we be making Peacock happen???? Listen up @katyperry and EMI/Capitol!!! Some big radio stations WOULD play the song! Let's go!!!! 17 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply

And I stand by my long-held contention that ALL rock stars are playing at being rock stars. If they were like that in RL, people would want to punch them on a daily basis. I've met many and they're RL personality rarely resembles their onstage persona. Well, maybe Gene Simmons!
