@14gelly: Look at Eber's latest likes /photo/1 It looks to me like Adam had a good chat with his dad, and based on that Eber picked up the phone ...I still remember that extra bounce in Adam's step halfway through the European tour, so I think if Adam ends up getting announced for the role of Judas, he must have known for a while already. All clues considered, I think it is more likely than not.

But the Oscar and Grammy are for his music, and the Tony's for producing? Nothing about acting. Not that I'm doubting him, just curious.

Ehh still not convinced. Has Adam not Liked tweets and IG posts in the past regarding productions that his peers are part of before? Adam has always said it is one of his dreams to be in JCS. Ever since idol days. And I would love for him to get Judas. But let's just say I have no expectations. For all we know theirs no smoke, nor is their any fire lol. Although Adam just liked this Tweet from James Cordon twitter.com/JKCorden/status/943205528603303936IT does seem Adam is bursting at the seems LOL. So maybe he does have it.

In the last few weeks though, I saw a change. I saw more musical theater come into the foreground. And the recent performances, where Adam used enunciation, and his spoken voice, and his breath so effectively to add to the dramatic side of the song, really reminded me of him playing a role. And I thought, it might just be Judas. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h5-viN7ZBcMany good points about Judas Iscariot and if when Adam gets the part, the discussions will be interesting. I just hope the musical director and sound people provide Adam enough reverb!

I usually don't like musicals much (with a few exceptions), so I only took the time to watch JCSS (the movie) for the first time a couple of days ago. I have to say, it seems to me like the gay undertone is already in the script. It's the sole explanation given in the movie to Judas behaviour. He's portrayed as having love-hate feelings towards Jesus: he loves him, and when he realizes Jesus has the same feelings for him as he does for all the others, that he's not special to him, he has to take vengeance. What better way to make Jesus notice him than by making his life a living hell? The film also pits Judas and Mary Magdalene one against the other as rivals for Jesus' love. I don't think it's going to be too hard putting some more emphasis on this aspect in the play. I always imagined Jared Leto as Jesus, and could easily see Adam going gaga for him With Legend he's have to use his acting skills a bit more I suspect... It's one thing to go gaga over Jared...easy....will have to dig deep for John. :D I just watched the movie recently too. I didn't realize that Judas had quite a few scenes and also sang Judas Death in addition to Heaven on Their Minds. Both about 4 minute songs.
