D'awww  Interesting discussion, postfestum, I've had the same conversation with my sister and there is a tendency for people to make those generalizations because of a small percentage of people. However, I think most people are very good at code-switching these days; much depends on the people you are interacting with at the time, etc. After listening to the entire Larry Flint interview again, I was interested in the way Larry and his sidekick interacted. Adam seemed completely at ease, but didn't adopt the same communication style, though I think he could have done it easily if he wanted to. |
