Uploaded by randomactofcoolness on Aug 23, 2011 mad world- adam lambert The skating.... pretty, but not all that impressive. Adam's voice floating and echoing in that empty room.... priceless. Made it sound even more haunting that usual.

Cause I'm stoopid of course. :-/ Seriously - made these plans months ago.
Laptop won't help - going abroad & will have heavy schedule. Best thing I can hope for is a few minutes to use a hotel's computer to check in. From experience though - not likely. But hey - no biggee. Important thing is a major Adam-tsunami for the release! Maybe it's a good thing if I'm away from any angst at the start. ;D ;D ;D

Just wanna take the slow moment to congratulate all my friends in Central Texas on their record 70th day in triple digits this summer. Um, hooray, or something like that. Looks like y'all are gonna slaughter that record! Also, was fecklessly drifting around the empty old fields of the internet when I came across this very old essay in the Nation on Adam's AI run--you've probably all already read it but it was new to me, and I thought I'd share on a slow day, just in case it was new to any of you, too... ...He transformed the fairly banal "singing competition" of American Idol into a performance of self-possession and an occasion for all kinds of living-room or Internet chatter about what's masculine, what's "theatrical" (the show's code for too Broadway, too queer) and why artifice is sometimes the surest route to authenticity.... www.thenation.com/article/return-fabulousI thought it got some things nicely right, especially the ending... ETA: if the link takes you to some nation signup page try closing it and opening it again

What a coincidence, the last sentence with his new song! "Adam is something of an outlaw, and an outlaw, even a nice, wildly talented, seemingly well-adjusted one, will never win a majority vote."

Midwifespal, thanks for bringing this article over; I had not seen it before. The ending's a bit uncanny, talking about Adam being an outlaw... True then and apparently something that Adam still feels, despite the growing success & support. He needs to perform live soon, to have the energy exchange from the audience. A surprise performance at BM? LOL
