the article reads like pure speculation but it does make lots of sense imo...the almost FIVE BILLION (literally!) views on VEVO speak for Luis Fonsi big time! and if he can somehow sing too then it's probably a no brainer tbh... aside from that, there are probably hundreds of other viable candidates...just trying to keep it "real" in my own mind... ![](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Chapf%20smileys/peakinshocked.gif)

Despacito was HUGE. And it brought Luis Fonsi to the forefront. That song really put him on the "hot list" and gives him an edge for one of the roles. People know him. The article doesn't say anything about which roles are still uncast. It's not very specific at all. I guess we just better keep praying that Adam's name is still in consideration for the Judas role. That's the only role I can imagine Adam would be considered for. This is all so frustrating!

I want Kristy Alley to stay away from our guy. Scientology yuk! And they do their crap under cover. It is not like they come out guns blazing " hello we are Scientology" where everybody would run. They come up with every trick in the book to help you build your network in the industry and build that career in Hollywood, etc....create financial dependencies and contractual ones, and only years later you find out what the real agenda is.
I assume that Adam is smart enough to know that kind of stuff about this industry, but if she is thanking him, that scares me. Did he take some bait somewhere, without even knowing? Why is she thanking him. And who is she messaging with that very public 'TY'? Me not likey.
Career - wise: I agree. Something shifted again. We did not just tin-hat about JCS, Adam bombarded us with hints. And now they have stopped. And he is talking more about A4 instead. I don't know what is going on, but in the end, I will deal with it however it comes.
But no more favors for KA, please. (Kristie Alley, not Kris Allen). Those initials spell trouble for him, although packaged in niceties, from what I can tell.

This is all so frustrating! I agree. But you can't get a big hit in the US unless you get massive radio play. I am really hoping that Adam can get his music played in formats other than just pop and have it cross over. He has very diverse music tastes and abilities so why can't they take advantage of that. I want to see him get some award nominations but it will be almost impossible for him if he has to compete in the pop category with Camilla, Selena, Mendes, Dimi, Bieber, Taylor, Ed, Sam, Puth, Gaga, Bruno etc. Portugal The Man just won a Grammy and they were #1rock, #1alternative and crossed over to #1Top 40 and #1HAC. Twenty one Pilots did the same thing. Grammy win after #1 in rock, alternative, top 40 and HAC. Lorde, Grammy win and charts in alternative and top 40 as does Lana Del Rey. With Adam's talent in pop, pop-rock, rock etc. why does his label only push him to top 40? Why can't he compete in more categories like some of the others who are taken seriously, instead of always going up against the top 40 regulars who dominate? If he can get his music played in other areas there is no reason why he can't still cross over to top 40 and maybe get that huge hit. Wouldn't hurt to try something different, imo.

Thanks, @pattihum. This is my #1 and an absolutely perfect image to dance in my head while retiring for the night ![](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/wub.gif)

@lurleene I don't think it was the label that pushed Adam to do more pop. Both Tresspasing and The Original High albums were Adam's ideeas. He brought them to the table and it was his own wish to do dancy/pop album and TOH was also why he went to Martin & Shellbak. He said he had the TOH song and idea how he wanted the album to sound. But its a tough competition in pop category. I didn't mean it in that sense. For instance, Sam Smith's hit "Stay With Me" was a big pop hit but it also charted on rock radio and the rhythmic charts. Adele has songs that do sometimes as well. Ed has charted on top 40, rhythmic and alternative on certain songs. I was just wondering why the limitations for Adam and why his labels have never been able to get him on some other charts as well. He has a lot of diverse songs on all of his albums tho they call it dance pop for some reason. WWFM, IIHY, GT, ALN, BTINM all different but played only on the same charts. On a slightly different note, I still adore "There I Said It." Such a moving song with a heartfelt message. Wish more people could have heard it, "Chokehold," "Runnin" and some of the other deeper cuts on Adam's albums. Fingers crossed for the next album tho.

I have wondered as well.... if somehow Adam felt DMG had mismanaged securing him the role and parted company with them because of it. Would that fit in with the timing? Adam dropping hints that he had the part, leaving DMG, no further hints, responding to the old Oprah clip where she says something like 'if her show doesn't work out, she knows it's no big deal; it's just a show' I'm really not sure of timings. Had he already left DMG when he seemed so excited about JCS? Anyway there's stil hope! And if it doesn't work out, Adam will handle it and throw himself into his other very major projects. 😍 Edit: took so long to.write this on my phone I now see you've just expressed the same! Did Adam respond to the old Oprah clip (see above) after leaving DMG? The sequence of all these happenings, including the decrease in "hints", could of course mean a lot or nothing. To my knowledge we also don't know if the DMG contract simply "expired" or if it ended abruptly. What we do know is that Adam talked in early December about his plans to spend most of January in the recording studio, to work on his music. That was the plan. He said that at Chatty Man, didn't he?

Yes he said that, about being in the studio. But I don't think that has any bearing on the other points of DMG, Oprah, JCS etc. And we will probably never know what happened at DMG. Perhaps if I find the inspiration I will look at timings soon....but I remember the Oprah thing hit me hard. We say that Adam gives hints and we are happy to jump on the ones we like - but 'Oprah' struck me as Adam saying 'oh well, it was only a part and life goes on.' And it does and will, of course. ![](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/adamthumbsup.gif) We will never know the details - but as in the rest of life, we can only join the dots of our perception and see if a picture emerges. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Edit : I should add that no one could wish me wrong more than I wish it myself... ![](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Chapf%20smileys/pleaseplease.gif)

He "hears" ALW liked Fonsi. It is written so it seems he is quoting things ALW said, but read it again. He is not.
