nightowl , I don't visit any of the Queen sites but our esteemed leader, Q3, has a trusted source who said that there was some substance behind the rumours. When Q3 speaks, I listen. Perhaps they WERE negotiating but it didn't come off. Even so, I'm not cancelling my hotel rooms just yet. I know. I didn’t cancel my hotel room either. It could still happen, the dates would fit, I think. But that guy‘s last comments were very weird, so that I would not trust him. Wasn't June 25th one of the UK stadium dates though?

In the announcement of the German dates today it‘s mentioned that the tour would conclude in London, but on July2nd. So I have the feeling they were right about a tour, but the date and place were wrong.

Long ago in a galaxy far away, young Adam had a great gig for an aspiring actor/singer, touring in a Broadway production of Wicked. He felt frustrated and longed for a solo career as a pop singer, so he quit this stable gig to pursue his dream of stardom. When that didn't work out well, he ended up going back to the producers and begging for his job back in Wicked. Could it be that Adam learned from that experience not to walk away from a very lucrative gig? Add to that Adam greatly enjoys the QAL gig. Musically and vocally, it is highly challenging. He couldn't be performing on a bigger stage or with a more elaborate production than with Queen. Since he was lonely and shunned as a teen, he has placed great importance on creating close "families" with fellow performers, and he has that with Queen. Brian and Roger do not try and tell him what and how to perform; they like the fact that he takes the lead and has developed into a charismatic frontman. He has great freedom to perform as he wants. On the flip side, he doesn't have to carry the weight of being the solo star. Everything other than the performance itself is handled by a myriad of personnel. Finally, he is getting love, admiration, respect, and praise from huge audiences around the world. It makes perfect sense to me that Adam would continue to tour with Queen at this time. More power to him. Thank you Cassie!

I guess I am probably the only one not at all excited about more Queen dates :( I am so ready for Adam to move on with his own career. At least Era 4 is in the works. I will wait patiently for new music. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Getting ready to close the door on my hopes for Judas. Just not getting the vibe anymore that it's happening. I am also surprised by these new European tour dates. But hey, I'm always up for watching a new Queen show. Here's my take on the whole QAL thing. It's Adam's bread-and-butter for this period of his life. It's the gig of a lifetime. It pays him gobs of money, which gives him both personal and professional freedom. Who knows which QAL tour will be the last? When that happens, Adam will have had an incredible experience, with his name etched in rock history alongside rock and roll legends. I'm as frustrated as anyone about the slow pace of his new music coming out. With the QAL "cushion," he has the luxury of taking his time. His solo income does not have to pay the bills. It's kind of a blessing and a curse. There is less financial pressure. I think that is the nuts and bolts aspect of it. Creatively, I think Adam is a excited as ever and wants to perform great music of his own. No one could have predicted that his career would wind through this QAL path simultaneously with his solo work. New music will come in time. We'll love it and buy it and promote it, as always. And, in time, QAL will be a fantastic memory with lots of benefits for Adam, and then he'll proceed on his own full-time.

Do you think this might actually be the QAL farewell tour? Its named officially (unlike in 2014) "One More Round The Block!" tour. I have a feeling this might be it. At least as arena tours go. There will be special/one-offs/awards(hopefully) shows in the future but I think these might be the last QAL arena shows. Does this mean we get a single (or a few?) from Adam right before the tour and he might release the album in early autumn? Can still meet the Grammy deadline if they want it. Or not. Or release it November like FYE to be eligible for Grammy 2020. Hhhhhmmmmmm Maybe, maybe not. Brian is known to exaggerate and be creative with his statements but you never know.

I suppose they could do Wembley on the 30th June and the 02 on the 2nd July....48 hours apart. They did both in the December tour and even sold out 2 x the 02.

I hope we get some changes in the setlist as there is much more from their catalog to be covered.
