Does anyone remember how much the standing tickets for Vienna and Munich were last November? I have a question as I'm searching about my travel plans...Is Hamburg-Altona dangerous, as I would be traveling alone^^...also it seems to be outside the city center, where the tourist attractions are? In Munich the prices for standing tickets were the same as now. I don’t know Hamburg Altona, only that it’s not the city center. Last time in Hamburg I stayed in an Ibis Hotel close to the main station, where the biggest shopping street starts. That was ok, since I traveled there by train. I don’t know though, where the O2 in Hamburg is located.

ERA: And thank you happy for reminding me to eventually hand this website back to those who would like to talk AL instead of European truck logistics. Me bad.... will do... Oh, I didn't mean that at all. When things are slow on the AL news front, I enjoy learning new things on different and various topics. It's fun and other people are amazed by what I know! lol

Seriously? This is their business! OFC they know! They are not an American company that is transplanted to EU. This trucking company drives for many artists' tours, all year long.

Yes, I would plan a stopover as well. But I‘m not a truck-driver. When I look at all the trucks on German Highways, many, many of them just cross our country. It’s simply normal for truck-drivers to have these long tours. And when I drive from Berlin to Milan it takes about 10 hours, to Rome 14 hours. Not really a problem. I assume, you are not driving a truck though? Last year, I was driving a nice little VW Golf through Austria, and you can cruise whatever the speed limit allows, but you are passing the trucks by the thousands, that are crawling up and down those hills. And I am talking freeways, where you typically will find 6-8 % inclines, so nothing that your car will even notice. Skashep, no your plan is probably very much right in many parts, just not that Norway one. And why they are not doing France, I totally don't get. They could do Lyon instead of Paris, or Geneva, or whatever, that all would make sense. The way it is, they have already set themselves up for a lot of road travel. Actually, to such extent that I thought they'd hire a cargo plane for some of it. I just assumed that in the end that was better than rolling those 21 trucks all over Europe, which does not come free either. But what do I know. The only thing I am going by is a friend of mine who told me it would cost you about $2 million to get a cargo jumbo jet from the East Coast to central Europe and back, and that is just the plane hire, typical average airport fees, an all the administrative and transport crap that I know nothing about. I naively assumed that you could load the freight of this QAL tour on one jumbo jet, and the distance is far less, so there you go. What is a million bucks to those guys. Or so I thought and as you can see, I am having enormously scientific ways putting my thoughts together. Anyhow, as compared to me, they would actually have experience with some of this, because in Asia you have to do it that way, don't you? I sure never stop learning in this fandom All because of one insanely talented and charismatic singer

One last answer, because I missed your post: Yes, I was driving a car and of course trucks are slower. My car is small though without that much power. So I did have my problems driving through the Alpes.😉 THe Queen Trucks often drive at nighttime (directly after the show), when the streets aren’t that busy. And for a plane: besides the enormous costs, you would need trucks to transport everything between the plane and the venues. Jumbos can’t land at every airport (for example usually not even in Berlin). They need a longer and wider runway plus the equipment to load and unload these big airplanes. And I would think the load in with all the security would also take a lot of time... In the end that might take as long as the truck-ride.

The company they use for the Europe/uk tours is used by almost all artist while touring in Europe. Of course they know about the laws in each country.
