Hurricane a'comin.  Apparently, the earlier earthquake wasn't exciting enough. My state is already in emergency preparedness mode. Fortunately, we still haven't put away the camping supplies! OMG sometimes I feel so fortunate that I live in a country who doesn't know anything about hurricanes! What can I say? I hope that it passes you by? I really hope so. :( All I know right now is that we still have a hole in the roof, and we're currently scheduled to get TEN inches of rain on Saturday. We're leaving the kid at my in-laws tonight so we can try to do some emergency patching. No way are we getting a roofer here before Saturday. #nothappy >:( |

So I just watched the Mayor of NYC giving emergency hurricane instructions. WTF? They're planning on shutting down all mass transit systems by Saturday. Thank the universe I don't live in the city. If I have to prepare for a hurricane, at least I could be living back in beautiful tropical Florida where we know how to handle that shit.
