I don't believe for one minute the role of Judas will be minimized in this production. JCS is an established show, not a different retelling of the story, with involvement from the original creative team. IMO either the role has not yet been cast, or there is some performer-specific issue in place to prevent the announcement (and it has to be something significant for a major cast member to not be included in promo during the frigging Olympics). Personally, I'd bet on the former, not the latter. At this point I will be pleasantly shocked if Adam were to be cast. This! They can't "cut out" Judas or minimize him. He has crucial songs. And remember, ALW is involved with this production. I am still going with John has pushed hard for this promo, because once the production airs, Judas will be outstanding, no matter who he is. It truly is THE role! But Hollywood is pretty stoopid, if they see John in all the promos for 2 months, they will see him as the star & if it gets a nom at all, it will be John's. I suggested before but now i am 100% sure that the whole promo strategy is part of Legend's contract conditions - HE IS IT and everyone else is a not-so-important supporting act. at this point I lost any interest in this production tbh, and it's a real relief actually...

Could Adam be using to pander express this way? It seems it would tie in with the focus of his poem.

Remember that ALW is involved in this production of JCS. JCS was his break out hit when it came out. I cannot imagine him deleting some of his most iconic songs sung by Judas. I cannot imagine him allowing the production to shift the focus of the plot line away from Judas.
I admit that this delay in announcing the Judas role discourages me from thinking Adam has it. It doesn't make a lot of sense not to promote Adam in the role, given the PR he is getting as Queen's frontman, and the accolades he got for the RHPS. I also cannot imagine they are "saving the best for last", given that John Legend is producer and probably wouldn't support that PR route. Perhaps they are casting a relative unknown as Judas, and his name would not garner more interest in the promotional cycle.
This waiting for an announcement is killing me, still. Adam would be so extraordinary in the role.

Yep. It was that way from the beginning. Here is an early announcement about John being cast. This is his baby. He is the star and a major player of this production. The others will be supporting no matter how big or crucial the other parts are. www.usatoday.com/story/life/tv/2017/12/19/john-legend-headline-nbcs-live-production-jesus-christ-superstar/964179001/John Legend to headline NBC's live production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'That's because the Grammy and Oscar-winning singer has been cast in the lead role of NBC's live production of Webber's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, which recounts the final week of the Christian savior's life. "We’re all overjoyed to have world-class musical artist and producer John Legend starring as Jesus," NBC entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt said in a statement. "This score demands a singer with an amazing range and an actor with great depth, and there isn’t anyone better to bring this story to a new audience." Greenblatt added that "(Legend's) casting is also groundbreaking, as the traditional image of Christ will be seen in a new way.” For his part, Legend said, “I'm thrilled to join the cast of this production of Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert. It's such a powerful, meaningful musical and I'm humbled to be part of this performance. We've already formed an incredible team, and, as we finish casting, I'm certain we will put together some of the greatest talents around to do this work justice.”

Lots of hustlers on IG, always taking fancy artsy photos of themselves like they are models or somebody really special, posting ads and peddling. Shallow world. First of all, I LOVE it when Adam talks in riddles. It's fun, we get to speculate and entertain ourselves and he is having a bit of fun with us too. I think it is all good. Obviously, I mean this is second-best to making an official announcement, but I mean more in the interim, while he cannot say anything official. I just see it as a game, and I like it. Having said that, I think that @skashep is totally right with her guess. He probably wrote a little song and called it 'Pander Express', and these are some lyrics from it. He is talking about the various wanna-be's in music, film, modeling, etc and the many people who are trying to pander to 'the most recent trend', the newest look, the latest media spectacle, etc. imo it is a bit risky to sing about that, as you need to bring a hook that shows why you can set yourself apart and not be one of exactly those people yourself. And, while Adam has all the skills to be above all that, he still wants to be marketable and relevant, and therefore had a difficult time in the past, balancing all this for himself, and I am sure this will continue to be an issue. I think that Adam has skirted this line of trying to pander to radio and yet has tried stay true to himself, but it has not been easy defining himself in the market. So we will see, how he personalized that and pulled all this off saying something without coming off as hypocritical or like he is looking down, now that he has made it, or something...I am not saying, that Adam is any of this, what I am saying is that this song is like a can of worms and opens the door for that critique, and Adam always has people who are looking for exactly that opportunity with him. Certainly seems like an interesting topic and something that probably will get a few comments, and some attention. Also, I don't think it is only Hollywood that is dealing with this, it is happening in the workplace everywhere. Just with Hollywood, it is so much more public. So, my guess is on song title and lyrics.....but of course, he may also just be flying to NZ via China for some reason, and I am making all this up for nothing...so there.... ETA: And besides talking about cosmetic surgery, I totally think it is a dig at Shawn Mendes, lol....I have to say, I have a tough time joining him there, Sh M has this guilty pleasure thing about him...you listen to it or look at it, even though you know it is not all thaaat.....but he is easy on the eye and his songs are easy too....and so you listen..... It is the other side of this entertainment coin, this just feeding the market whatever it laps up. For me, the interest with Adam was always, that he was different, that he was not going to give me just the next boring pop song, but I can see, how from Adam's perspective, these kiddos are pulling off numbers that he cannot compete with. Because in the end, people like me consume on both sides of this spectrum, thereby aiding the general junk in pop music. And I also got kids, so I get to hear what they are listening to. The general music comes and goes though, and I am not investing in it or paying attention. That is totally different than Adam, where he has my attention anytime he spits something out, be it lyrics or just a tweet.

Of course Neil made it political. hmmmm....unfortunately Adam was mostly avoiding making political comments so far (aside from some LGBT related remarks) and so I doubt this tweet had anything to do with it either... i can imagine Adam's lack of interest in politics is killing Neil
