Hmmmm. Interesting. Rumor or the writer's speculation or maybe? www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/entertainment-columns/kats/queen-with-adam-lambert-solidifies-the-park-theaters-schedule/Updated February 17, 2018 - 5:53 pm The Park Theater is striving to be the king of Las Vegas Strip venues. Queen has been recruited to make it happen. Continuing its aggressive campaign to bring in top rockers this year, the 5,200-seat theater at Monte Carlo is reportedly ready to stage Queen with Adam Lambert. The Queen-Park Theater engagement is reportedly a partnership between MGM Resorts International and concert promoter Live Nation. Queen and Lambert are certainly available for such a run — the band has no dates on the schedule after a July 4 booking at O2 Arena in London, which tops off its European tour. Queen and Lambert sold out T-Mobile Arena on June 27. It was the most entertaining arena show I saw in all of 2016, and immediately started poking around for news about the band’s interest in an extended engagement on the Strip. Be confident Queen will open sometime in August, and no later than mid-September. We will need to rent a Glamberts apartment in LV that any of us can crash in while we go for a week or more to watch multiple shows!!!

Actually that would work out pretty well for me.....lots of dates to choose from in order to get down front seats and Southwest flies direct from Birmingham to Vegas.

Been out this evening and just checking in here. What great reviews!!! They are especially thorough and insightful, IMO, more than most. A real acceptance and appreciation for what Adam has given to Queen. Was taken by surprise a little with the one reviewer who had seen Adam on his solo tour and he described him as somewhat "uninspiring." I disagree, of course, but I can see that any comparison to his belting out the Queen catalog and singing his own material solo may be an unfair comparison. But it's a challenge that I know he can live up to.
Hope Adam comes out of this QAL tour season and into his A4 era with guns blazing and be as COMPLETELY INSPIRING as we know he can be.

I see people on twitter telling Shoshanna she isn't a big enough fan of Adam to be his publicist. To quote Adam: "Trust a bitch" Why can't they just leave it alone? What??! How come? Did something specific happen? It see it as an indirect insult to Adam.

So many great reviews! I appreciate the QAL shows so much for several reasons, and one is how good it feels to read how much respect and admiration he gets for these shows. Those songs are rightly legendary as among the very hardest rock songs to sing, all but untouchable, and he goes out each night and slays them in his own way, standing right alongside some of the authors of those songs. I don't think his own catalogue, so far, gives him the same opportunities for his gift to be revealed and admired, as it would if his catalogue were full of power ballads or some such. I know that kind of ballad-heavy catalogue would bore him, and I love that about his spirit, so I'm not complaining, really. But it's nice to hear his voice clear and strong in songs like Queen's, rather than a bit buried under the production that seems so common nowadays. And it's such a rewarding thing to read review after review, tweet after tweet, just seeming to grow from year to year, about how wonderful he is at all of this. <3 And I love that open-front, coat-kilt thingie. I agree. But Queen also has the up-tempo songs that he can rock with and even throw in a few dance moves, so he would not be restricted to ballads only. But the young arena acts (Mendes, Ariana, Bieber, Demi, Selena) are mostly appealing to the tweens and teens. Adam is a beautiful and sexy man who looks as acts like a rock star and I don't think he is trying for that audience. Most parents are not going to drive the kids to his shows. But I think if he were to put out music that was appealing to the young and a more mature audience (Adele, Same, Ed, Legend, Pink, some of the alt acts/lighter rock acts) and got big radio play and exposure as they do, he could fill those arenas too. I think his voice and talent will be more on display this time based on some of his interviews about bringing something different and more Queen influenced. I don't think he is making all these changes and moves just to try to blend in with the talent that is getting younger and younger and more produced.

This sounds like more than just a rumor to me! I wonder if Roger and Brian would agree to it? I wonder how long the "run" would be? Actually this is a great way for Adam get more exposure outside his fan base and the QAL fans. The more he can show a wider audience what he can do, the better. More potential buyers of his solo music. More $$$$$$. It just might work! Vegas shows are plum gigs to get. Gaga will be there. Britney, Beyoncé, etc. have done a stint there (I think). And yes! I would make the trip, of course! As for A4, I'm sure it's still on the late 2018 early 2019 schedule.

Adam's demo is not tweens. But there is that great niche you mention (Adele, Sam Ed. Pink, etc. ) that he is perfect for. With new dynamic songs and some strong (new?) promotion, he could build upon it very nicely. And QAL has been an incredible learning experience for him, too. I think A4 will be new and different and exciting and risky and very sexy. And I also love that open-front, coat-kilt thingie. (Wish we had a vid of GDML. Maybe from the next show.) Sigh.
