I'm all moved and finally set up with wifi, dish, and phones but I feel like I missed so much the last few days. Does anyone know if there's a place I can go to watch the entire episode of Ru Paul's drag race? Without downloading the whole show?
ETA: Whoops, I guess I'll have to change Illinois to Tennessee!

evie1512 Hi there! It's a reality show which is why I don't even want to put too much weight to the "drama". To the remark about the range. Yes, normally singers know their range, but when it comes to knowing singing, I would put the ball to Adam. I'm sure he knows what a voice can do or not when he hears it, don't think he suggested it light heartedly to humiliate her and ask something of her she couldn't do. As a vocal student myself: If my vocal teacher didn't challenge me, I wouldn't know what I'm capable of. I think it's the same for a lot of athletes with their coaches as well. Adam said to Creme de la creme (?) that all his takes cracked him up and to another Queen he said that he wasn't sure after the recording session but that that she came out and "blew him away", so he did mention coaching sessions with others... I enjoyed hearing your other point of view. Do post more often!

I appreciate your comment evie1512! I think the editing made more of the drama than there probably was in person, and social media ran with it, piling on Adam. That's mostly what I'm responding to. I'm sorry that it ends up becoming me piling on Trixie here! :( I can't speak for anyone else, but I didn't intend that. Like marionm said, I don't think we can take any of that editing at face value--or possibly even Trixie's interview about it, which was probably delivered with more humor than is apparent in the dry text. The cut to Adam saying "But..." during the performance critique sounded like a train of thought, not like he just jumped in there on top of the other positive critiques, the way the editing made it seem. He's also very bluntly honest in general, like calling Morgan boring, so we don't know if more of his general bluntness during the performance critiques wasn't edited out so that he and/or Trixie seemed worse than they actually were. We don't know if he wasn't specifically asked to critique the coaching sessions; why else have one of the judges also be the coach? They probably just left it out that RuPaul wanted that feedback from him (for potentially more TV drama, of course). I doubt all of the reaction faces during the coaching and during the performance critiques happened exactly in response to what editing implied. That's what I took from Adam's "it's a tv show" comment. Editing is everything. The only real takeaways I got were that 1) Trixie's humor, though harmlessly intended, fell flat with Adam, 2) a few others picked up on it, 3) the other coaches were telling Trixie the same things that Adam was, 4) Adam was critiquing more than just Trixie and Dela but that's where the "drama" was, and 5) (imo) Trixie was a top 2 best performer of the group, but the coaching tension sunk her. Trixie is a legitimate singer, for sure, but contestants in reality shows are always having to work with and try the suggestions of guest mentors. I didn't get that Adam or the other coaches were doing anything egregious by suggesting she goes for the higher notes there or that Adam was expecting others to have his range. At least from what the editing showed, she was really bottoming out on her range in the one take we saw right before that coach's comment that she goes higher. At least, it didn't sound great to me. Maybe they were responding to that strain in her voice in the lower register? Maybe that was one reason that Adam and the other coaches suggested she try a higher note, in addition to selling the whole nymphomaniac part of her character. The recorded version was higher, in any case, though a different take from what the other coach suggested, and it sounded great. All that said, just like Trixie intending to be humorous doesn't mean it wasn't experienced as rudeness or aloofness by Adam, Adam's own playfulness about it later doesn't mean Trixie didn't experience that critique as humiliation. It's sad that it went down like that, if it is anywhere as painful as Trixie's interview made it seem. The reviewer from Vulture, I think, mentioned the same thing that you say: like having two friends meet and watching their chemistry tank in real time. :( I hope he doesn't guest judge on RPDR for a while...

Did you see him guest judge on AI as a substitute..or on Xfactor, where his contestant won..I really don't care for the oh my gosh you are all so wonderful, you are all stars kind of judges...Adam takes his job seriously...but to be honest who really gives a hoot.. Hope trixie's new album is a hit ,the press should help

Welcome to The South laceyrose!
I don't remember seeing the full RuPaul show just to watch. Saw a couple of attempts to put it on YT, but they were blocked. Scorpiobert has it for DL....but it's 1080 so the file would be large and expires in a few days. She also has just the Adam parts. I like RuPaul, but don't follow the show and didn't know any of the participants....so I only saved the Adam parts. Thanks, for the welcome bamafan. I'd rather not dl at this point. I do watch the show, but in this case I will be happy just to watch Adam. I will go back to see what vids, if any, have been posted. I really haven't made an attempt to catch up yet. And I've just begun to open what seems like 100s of boxes at this point. Kinda torn between catching up and settling into my house.

Did anybody see JCS ad during the Oscars.. So weird, I didn't see any mentiion of the guy playing Judas.. Only mentioned the top three. So glad Adam is not in this production...He would be ignored in the advertising.. Maybe I'm blind and deaf. To add ,Trixie sure is getting a small moment of attention by first acting cold to judge Adam, making unfunny joke, and then taking it to the next step by saying Adam humiliated him... No Trixie ,you continue to humiliate yourself. I wonder if maybe that was an ad made before the Judas role was finalized? That might explain it. They probably are making ads that feature the key roles and key relationships, and maybe the ones with Judas were just not ready yet, because of a delay in casting or schedule availability? But they only use the names, except for John who gets pics. It would take minutes to edit the old promo to include Brandon's name.
