Q3, I agree with you that its video being judged, but that doesn't explain the Foo Fighters win. That video was pretty bland! Oh I can never take the VMAs seriously -- it is a promotional event disguised as an awards show. |

I'm really surprised Adele didn't win anything tonight! Well not really, she's too good. Sounds familiar. She's not too good, her video was just bland. It got nominated on the strength of RITD being an exceptional song. Awesome song- bland video. Adam isn't too good, either. I'm hoping to see him there next year! |

Odd thing is that Adele's video won a number of awards.... Best Editing - Adele, “Rolling in the Deep.” Best Cinematography - Adele, “Rolling in the Deep.” Best Art direction: Adele, “Rolling in the Deep.” Best Direction – Adele, “Rolling in the Deep.” 4 of the 5 "technical awards" really makes no sense. |
