Gosh, I love watching Katri and Sauli together. They are so adorbale, even when just using Skype. So, why was Sauli in a dark room with only a light coming through the doorway????? Inquiring minds want to know! ;D Actually, I think he and Adam need a VMA for set direction of that Skype! Such a clever way to position it all so it is impossible to tell which room of the house he was in! S was joking: Today the sun was shining and I burnt myself, so I am red. I can't put on those big lights. Everybody thinks, what pig is here... ;D K: I started, S nobody even sees you, put at least some light on... S: It's night here, and I took a little lamp, so you can see my face... He is clever, isn't he?! ;D Full lighting would have shown the room. But blaming a sunburn is cute.

I don't take his "8 weeks" as a concrete timeline, but rather his maximum. Especially in light of the fact that he also tweeted that he was finishing 3 singles this week. It's still the end of August. For a single in 8 weeks, and finishing this week, that's a lot of time in between. On another subject, watching the VMAs did put a little angst into my head. I have been absolutely 100% sure that Adam would have no problems getting played on radio, this go round. But when I went to bed last night, I realized there was only one singer on that whole show last night that was white, male and Pop! And that was Beiber!!! Adam's biggest obstacle may not be that he is gay, at all. It may be that he is a white male & trying to break into Pop! Scary :-/! I have absolutely no concern about radio and Adam. He is working with the right people and he has a really good sense of the market. PDs are ready to play his music, they just need a great song. My interpretation of that "8 Week Twitter Party" was Adam did it to change the fan mindset about the release times. He has to know that fans were expecting a late summer single and a November album. He reads his Twitter feed. He started the whole thing with a it will be worth the wait message, He also selected many questions about the timing of single and album. So he picked the topic and stayed on the conversation for a while. The sad thing going on now is that some fans are pounding RCA execs about holding things up and clearly Adam is still working on recording this week -- so RCA is not holding anything up. Adam isn't done. I do have info from a reliable source that the plan is for one global single -- and that Adam is working on three tracks this week -- even though Adam referred to working on three singles in his tweet. This makes sense to me.

Thanks! When did Adam say late summer for a single? I can't recall. I remember lots of interviews where he said Fall, for the album. Can't remember when he said late summer for the single. I remember all of us, saying late summer for the single, but not Adam. But then agian, my memory can be crap! He said it a few times -- but it was early on. One was OnTheRedCarpet interview January 2011. That was before he started working on the album and a lifetime ago. I will wait patiently until he is done -- but I would rather have a later album release with a proper promotion. So if the lead single is out 10/18/11, I hope they release the album in early December vs. November. But maybe Adam was off on his weeks -- he is not that good with time The whole issue about the single being released late summer I think we need to quote Adam! "haha OMG let it go" I expect the album to be release just like RCA/Sony/Entertaintment Week have all said. Sometime in November. None of those people have said anything about a December release. Leona Lewis is suppose to being released in December.

It is massively early in the morning. I had to get up early. So I get up to see the news and learn that Michelle Bachman has said that the earthquake and hurricane are a message from God about the need to change. Now that makes sense. If that's true, shouldn't he, like, spell it out in the clouds or something? Earthquakes and hurricanes are so open to interpretation. In fact--has Bachmann ever considered the idea that maybe he's after her? "Shoot--earthquake didn't get her. I'll try a hurricane!"

So if the lead single is out 10/18/11, I hope they release the album in early December vs. November. But maybe Adam was off on his weeks -- he is not that good with time I'm still hoping for THIS. A. That Adam was including last week in his "Eight weeks," not thinking that it was Friday night when he said it and ... B. That he was building in a pad of at least a week, perhaps two, just in case something was delayed. That can make a difference of two to three weeks, so I still think 10/4 or 10/11 with a Black Friday release date makes more sense all the way around. Also, RCA has not announced its November release calendar at this point. Again, I can't imagine that he's just dinking around while this crucial timeline slips though his fingers after all this work and knowing how critical this album is. If he TRULY "isn't done," (and I don't mean that they aren't continuing to finish vocals, etc., which they are and would likely be built into the original scheduling). I would imagine him recording through the night if that's what it took to get the launch off on the most optimum time frame. I really doubt that Adam is dinking around. And I really trust him to know when he is done and satisfied with the recordings. Since he tweeted he is recording vocals for three tracks this weeks it sounds like this is substantive changes to me. And the prob 8 weeks was really vague. I like your timing and hope you are right. But if the single is later in October, than I hope they release the album in December when there is more awareness and a single higher on the charts. Much as I want this album -- I also want it to sell boatloads and get great reviews.

I was never expecting a late summer single. My original date was always, Sept. 20th. Late summer seemed way too early for a Novemeber album, unless they were going to do more than one single before the album. And when Kelly's dates were announced, then late Sept seemed like a good possibility, but mid-October works too.

OMG just listened to 'Broken Open' on Pandora Radio. I forgot how hauntingly beautiful the song is.. I think it's possible for this to become a classic at some point.

I choose to see this as an advantage... because in our angsty protective mind set we would've been concerned about market saturation had there been several white male pop stars ;D Of course, I have no clue as to how the music market or even worse music fads work/get created.

Ya, I've thought of it that way too. But then again, the demographic that radio plays to seems to like repetition and copycats. Oh well, no more radio angsting for me because there isn't a damn thing I can do about it! And really, that VMA show was one of the dumbest things I have ever wathced! Glad I DVRd it and was able to FF. IMO, Beyonce, Adele, and Jessie J, especially Jesse J were the best things!

RCA has never giving the album a date. If it is going to be a November release, it should be announced by the end of September to mid-October. And that will probably be announced when the announce the lead single release date. I do not believe RCA has never listed Adam's album as November. [SME Germany had it listed as 11/4 on an internal newsletter.] And EW had the vague November TBD -- which they told me was sourced from the Adam interview in Jan 2011. Adam has not given any dates for months until the Twitter party where he said single in 8 weeks and did not even give a clue on the album release date. ciscoboofenty Cisco Hernandez @adamlambert When is the first single out boo? I thought you said end of summer? Can we expect it soon? I CAN'T WAIT.
in reply to ↑
Adam Lambert: @ciscoboofenty not yet... Prob about 8 weeks
onichuiam glittertribe_monster @adamlambert adam adam adam adaaam!!is it true the album is coming out on 4th of november or just a rumour??
in reply to ↑
Adam Lambert @onichuiam rumor.
Adam Lambert @onichuiam but I hope to have a single out by then.
I will be happy with any release schedule that involves massive radio promotion and airplay support. I want people to know this album is released.
