I don't post too often, but the discussion earlier about Broken Open reminded me about this fan-made video. It's my favorite song on the album, and with this subject matter, it brings me to tears every time. I know there are a lot of animal lovers here, so I thought you might like to see it if you haven't already.
I'd love to hear BO on a soundtrack someday. So many possibilities.

Yay! I finally have internet! And telephone! No damage from Irene except a bunch of branches from my neighbor's huge oak tree in my yard. None in her yard - they all blew into mine. Damn tree.
So, have I missed anything important? No internet since Friday night. Beautiful sunny day in NY today though.
Did anyone else think Jim Cantore (weather channel dude) must have been bored out his mind, standing in NYC waiting for something traumatic to happen. "Oh look, there's 2 inches of rain on the pier." I kind of felt bad for the guy. Hope everyone else here escaped any Irene damage.

Save this sign! It can be put right next to the beating the dead horse "smiley". Am sure there will be many times they will both come in handy... Not the smiley but nevertheless "beating the dead horse".

How can someone like this get so close to politics and/or the presidency in this country. I sure hope someone in power is watching the store or we are all doomed. I think there is insanity afloat somewhere close to Washington. I know politics is off topic, but I want to share a respected resource that is interesting to explore regarding religion in American culture. religions.pewforum.org/To a somewhat limited extent, whether through polling or voting, we the people are in power. (I know, I know, don't get me started on Plutocracy.) The insanity is indeed all around us, perhaps even less so around DC when is comes to the question of religion in politics. YMMV.

Nothing much happened around here. Jim Cantore would have been equally bored standing around Adam-world.

BFTP VXIVIX Reihmer still loving BFTP even in its short form. Gives me more time to notice details like how Adam is checking out the guy straightening his tie. A little head down cocked to the side under the lashes glance.
