Continuing this from yesterday because Q3 answered my post:
I remember buying the regular version FYE from WalMart and I bought it for $9.88. I bought the deluxe from itunes.
You are correct about the MSRP but stores regularly discount albums their debut week to $9.99 and then they return to the regular selling price the next week. They discount is why I buy almost every album its debut week if it's one I know I want. I don't like paying more just because I decided to wait.
The numbers I posted before don't really reflect that substaintial of a difference IMO since every album that debuted at #1 did so with over 120K in sales. I do agree that after Black Friday sales are much higher but that is due to holiday shopping. Sales are lowest in January/February.
Boca, you said that we can't assume Black Friday didn't boost Adam's sales and you're right, but we also can't assume that the AMAs didn't cost him sales as well. Perhaps they cancelled each other out and Adam's sales reflected what he would've sold had the AMAs not happened and had he released in a regular week because those sales were from fans who already intended on buying the album regardless of timing or promo.

Wouldn't it be great if Adam's new people do for him what they have helped do for Katy Perry.. Lots of singles out ,plus incredible album.
I also hope the releases are done all over the world at the same time.. so they are not down loaded for free.
Adam is one smart cookie .. so I just trust right?

WEll things seem to be getting back to normal here. Irene was not as devastating as predicted here in my area. THank heavens. A few neighbors had flooded basement as well as one were a hugh tree toppled on the roof but fortunately no one hurt. BUt the township where I work has lost power and residents are still in dark. Most of the businesses have generators but today, hopefully, the electric will be back. Schools are open today. WEather is getting cooler so sadz
BUT I do think that his single will be released in Oct and the CD in November. ASSUMING this is the case, do you think plans for a 2012 tour is being organized or will they wait to see if his CD is a seller????? (PS I have to start saving my pennies!)

I paid $13.88 at Walmart on the first day they rec'd FYE CDs in the store (bought 2), and $13.88 the following week, and $13.88 the next week, and so on....total of 6CDs from my Walmart.

I was looking for something in my draw yesterday and found 5 unopen Adam CD's 3 FYI from various countries I bought and 2 EP's. After this new album comes out I will need an Adam draw for my collection.
