So the judges had to save Jurnee and Adam so they could stay on? Well, that was lucky for them. They will live to sing another day. And I get the whole thing about Idol being "inclusive" and "open-minded," etc. But at the same time, it isn't really right to advance a contestant because he or she is gay either. They also need to have the vocals skills. I'm not saying that Jurnee and Ada don't have them, but obviously, the fans responded by saying that there was bias against them at the first cut, presumably because of their sexuality. So the judges had to save them. I know that the producers of the show want to include "types." The subway busker, the church choir kid, the girl whose dad just died, the young single dad with a baby, the kid from a poverty-level family, the one with the "novelty" factor, etc. etc. Once the voting is given to the viewers, all bets are off. Viewers vote for many different reasons, singing talent being just one of them. Obviously, the viewers strongly wanted Jurnee and Ada to stay. We'll see if the viewers keep up their support. Bottom line, IMO, the winner should be someone who is "the whole package." Voice, demeanor, look (not necessarily the prettiest or the handsomest), attitude, charisma, likability. All the things that will get people to buy their music once the season is over. That's when the hard part starts. I agree with you. Same goes for people with color. Ada and Jurnee have incredible voices and they both have delivered stunning performances, but while Jurnee may be more the "whole package" in terms of a successful recording career, Ada from my point of view isn't. I still think they are very important for this competition and I hope they both make it far. It is also about connection. Michael for instance must have connected, as well as quirky Katie. (Is that the right spelling?)

(Is that the right spelling?) No, it's Catie...with a C. as she told Katy Perry lol She's been racking up the most Youtube views from the very beginning. Don't know if that translates to votes, but I'd guess it does to some degree. She currently has over half a million views on Havanna

Nice support for Adam's long-time friend Carmit. He's always been so generous with his praise for his buddies. Gives them an little extra boost of exposure. Good luck to her!

VEGAS NEWS, PLEASE!!! 😎 Oh, how I wish we could hear something about the Vegas residency (even if it is not happening 😰). Since it appears that Adam could have an alternate career as a Navy Seal or a CIA Agent based on the fact i believe that it seems nobody could drag a secret out of him, maybe Brian could announce it, although maybe announcements come from him anyway. It would be great to make plans and to have something relatively close by to look forward to ! Always glad to see great videos that our fellow fans kindly share, but many of you know that it is just not the same. Sorry if this doubles. My IPad is acting weird. I hope it is happening! I would love to travel to Vegas for a long weekend with the highlight being QAL! Me, too! I have already talked to my local Chicago Glambert buddy about going to Vegas for QAL. She's on board if the schedule works out. We may even let our DHs come. I hope we hear some confirmation soon. People need to PLAN! I'd love to meet some new Adam fans in person!

(Is that the right spelling?) The producers want to keep viewership up, too, and it's been waning since the season started. Jurnee and Ada are those "hot-button" contestants that might keep viewers watching whether they like them or not.
