Hi guys!  Tutka Roadshow Finland is starting tomorrow and Zinnia and I plan on translating them the same way as we have translated the Video-Tutkas. We will create a new thread in Sauli Central for these translations, and post a link in the news thread to the translation, just like before. There will be two Tutkas every week for the next six weeks, Katri told us that usually they will be published on Wednesdays and Fridays. This week will be an exception because of the Midsummer here in Finland, so we have Tutkas coming tomorrow and on Thursday. All this means quite a lot of work but we will try our best to get the translations out as soon as possible. Of course, RL can sometimes bother this very important task, and by the way, there are these certain events in some place called London...  I don't know if you've heard of them, but we're going there so that might cause some delays as well. But please just wait patiently, the translations are coming... ;D Can't wait to see what those two have been up to! |

Was just looking again at the photo of Adam and Sauli at the Dean Piper party and it looks like maybe Sauli's ear gauges are about the same size now as Adam's. Or maybe the earrings themselves are making it appear that way.

I am not that familiar with stand-up comedy in English and you surely have something similar but even if this is trivial I will still explain a little bit more. The method used is very common and language-related.
In the next episode of Tutka Roadshow Suomi on thursday Katri and Sauli meet Usko Eevertti Luttinen which is a comedy character that uses everything sex-related masked in word play. The text in itself is appropriate for any audiences but the hints make people laugh, the humour in it I believe is universal.
For example, when interviewing he might be asking about Janne's interest in football. Janne would innocently reply that he likes football and used to play a lot when he was younger. Then the interviewer would proceed telling that he has heard that Janne's speciality was a funky kick and ask if he still practised it. Janne would try to find something to say to that, maybe play along and say that he hasn't for a long time because he was married and had a family which did not leave much personal time for hobbies but now that he is divorced he might take it up again... As he needs to lose some weight a physical hobby might help him to achieve his goals. It could be fun because he enjoys scoring. Unfortunately in his present condition he might shoot in tall bricks beside the goal and thus might be intimidated by the dairy hicks he plays with.
Haha! Well, there are a lot of brick buildings in Riihimäki and it has dairy farms and a football club...
