WOW,his juggling!!! I was impressed!! Lots of tricks up Sauli's sleeve. (Must have been those Circus classes after school.)
He has youth on his side and good coordination skills ...no knee and elbow pads for Sauli, as per a pic I put in the picture section showing a group picture of a ice skating practice.
Hey Viv...I used to do those spirals as well. My spiral pirouette was better than my spiral...I loved spinning... flexibility was not my strength. That was a long time ago and even though I adult skate in the winter at my community arena, I have not gotten brave enough to do anything fancy...just happy to keep my balance and not break anything!
My Labour Day Sauli story. You have to keep in mind that Adam and Sauli thoughts are always in my brain....
I am coming out of a gas/petrol bar in a small Bavaarian themed town this weekend, Kimberley BC. Behind me is a young lady who is rushing by me and she yelled a name to her companions who were ahead of me.
I instantly thought OMG, she yelled SAULI.....I have never heard the name SAULI other than through fanning.
It took a nano second, well maybe more than one second.... for me to comprehend she yelled.... So, Lee and then carried on her hurried conversation.
I had to laugh at myself.... so lee, versus sowli. I made the mistake of laughing out loud at myself, and my nephew asked...What's up? So, do I tell him ...or let it go...so I told him....he just smiled and said " you ARE crazy".

Vivlite, that photo of Adam is from the first Fantasy Springs concert. To me, everything about his first full-length solo concert was magical -- his rendition of Broken Open, acoustic Whole Lotta Love, the entire vibe & flow of the show, and the way he looked! |

I think Sauli is a genuinely nice person. I remember how much his character came forth on his personal blog when he responded very positively to the negativity someone was posting (trying to bring him down), as well as his sincere appreciation for the Unicef donations that were made in his name for his birthday earlier this year. |
