It gets me excited to see how Adam likes music that is created by musicians who play real instruments. (I hope he wears earplugs when going to those concerts )

That comment by James Parson must have felt so validating for Adam. Rightfully so, he liked it

Very interesting article! Lots of ideas were shared about fan bases, radio play, marketing and promo strategies of gay artists, etc. Troye said he's not too sure who his core fan base is: guys, girls, straights, gays, etc. But he has managed to attract a lot of fans, whoever they are. After Idol, Adam said that his label had the dilemma of how to market him, and his sexuality made it all the more complicated. Not to mention the fact that Adam was older than most other Idol alums. He went on the show almost at the age limit. He didn't have his whole 20s ahead of him to grow a fan base. Troye is younger and has some more flexible time to grow and adapt. He probably has a overall younger fan base. Adam really paved the way. He was gutsy and honest. Not everyone was ready for it. So nice that these artists were able to get together and share their common issues. And that is a good thing. If you want to appeal to only gay fans, you won't have a big mainstream career. Beyoncé, Rihanna, JZ and Kendrick did not reach their superstar status by only appealing to African Americans. Your music should resonate with many different types of people. Most have some of the same feelings, love, problems and experiences tho in different ways and degrees. That is what I have always loved about Adam's music. I can find so much in it that I can relate to in one way or another. On a different note. That picture is the best one I have seen of Troye. His hair looks great and the suit is nice and stylish from what I can see of it. Most of the time he just looks like a skinny kid.

OK, that comparison wasnât really fitting, but you know, what I meant (I hope.). And yes, he was the most famous, together with Troye. You can see that in the headlines of the published articles from today. đ Maybe the others didnât know, how to approach him? Come to really think about it, I donât believe, that there is much to it at all. But his name is in many headlines today! đ I wouldn't take the "forlorn" comment too seriously. Adam is very social. I'm sure he spent the event talking and socializing with everyone. This comment was probably referring to just a few moments when people were walking around and leaving and he was still sitting down. Adam had no reason to feel forlorn, and I don't think he was. Hope this meeting has some positive results for him! I agree. I think the writer wanted to add some drama. I think he was doing the same when he cast Adamâs comments about his early consideration of how he would present himself as coming from âinternalized homophobiaâ - I donât know, of course, but based on other things Adam has said I donât think he would agree with that. Looking at the world as it is and considering what if any compromises might be necessary for mainstream success doesnât fall under that heading. IMO.

Of course Adam needed to think about what he was doing and how he was representing himself. He has worked for and has a mainstream career. It is not all fun and games. He was not going to show up at someone's party with his bare ass hanging out. That is not who he is. I remember one of Adam's Halloween parities and some guys came dressed in playboy bunny outfits. That was fine for them but that is not Adam. He was dressed as a vampire or something, lol. There is no one fits all for gay or straight people. They all need to compromise to some degree to reach goals that are important to them. But I don't think it is internalizing anything. Just evaluating and using common sense.

I found this post by a Nate Ruess fan really touching: âNate once said, his best performance in his life was with Queen + Adam Lambert.â I know, Iâve read some comments from Adam-fans back then, that criticized Nate for not being able to sing Queen songs that good. I knew, he is a Queen fan and I find it touching to know, how much such a simple, short collaboration meant to him. instagram.com/p/BjGJNNRhiY_/
