Don't laugh, and I'm not even religious, but I want to hear Adam sing O Holy Night. I don't know how to embed videos but go to youtube and pull up O Holy Night by David Phelps. He has an incredible tenor voice and this is the best version I believe I've ever heard of that song. The guy is amaze balls. Not religious either, but I would love to hear Adam do O Holy Night. I used to say that the only person who should be allowed to sing it is Josh Groban. His version is beautiful. But Adam would outdo him, I'm certain. If we're speaking of standards that we'd like to hear Adam sing, I would vote for Unchained Melody. Again, I think he'd even turn in a better version than the original, which is a classic. I think Phelps is better than Josh Groban. This may be sacriligious, but I'm not sure if Adam could sing O Holy Night as well as Phelps. Guess we'll never know. Adam would probably be better on Unchained Melody though.

Can we just all agree to disagree? Srsly this is not worth getting all.... whatever about. One person's cheesy is one person's amazing. No one will completely like the same thing someone else does so can we leave it at that and just all agree his voice and HAIR is amazing? LOL I think we can all agree on that at least... Lol, funny because I was just musing. Was just writing this, thinking about how some people say that Adam isn't a good lyricist, isn't good at writing songs, that he probably won't sell that much because of this. And was saying that lots of the songs on the radio, even albums that have sold a lot have some bad or cliched lyrics. ITA. See almost every song by every popular artist right now. You want cheesy lyrics? You got 'em! Gaga: "Chola or orient made" Kesha: See every song she has ever put out as a singleRihanna: "Sex in the air I don't care, I like the smell of it." Katy Perry: "Kiss me, kiss me, infect me with your lovin, fill me with your poison" (and really the whole lyrics to ET are atrocious and don't get me started on Kanye rapping about abducting and probing!) Bruno: "Tomorrow I'll wake up, do some P90X, meet a really nice girl, have some really nice sex." Need I go on? Yes, pop music is not normally full of Shakespearian works of art. And that's not a bad thing, it is what it is. Some cringe while some just wanna get their groove on. None of these artists major pop hits are particularly deep or devoid of cheesiness in the lyrics and they sell a SHIT TON of records. One person's opinion of whether or not Adam's lyric writing ability is shit won't matter at all if ten million other people think it's not shit. I am not saying he shouldn't try and be deep, he can do whatever he wants, but just trying to say that if his lyrics don't meet whatever criteria we have set up for him to reach, then it won't spell the end of his career. I'm sure he will be just fine. Sorry I am suuuper chatty and long winded and pompous but I just took a pain pill and I am FEEELING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. lolol Apologies if this makes no sense.

My all-time favorite lyric: "She blew my nose and then she blew my mind" Honky Tonk Women by The Rolling Stones. I sing it as loud as I can whenever I hear it. Too funny....but it worked.....and we loved it!!!! Somehow I think Adam's lyrics will be more meaningful. lol!!! HAHAH!!!! Wow that brings such a graphic image in my head, haha,

I know these songs are very old, but I would love to hear Adam cover any of Jackie Wilson's ballads. Here a couple of examples:
(Jackie is one of the very, very few artists who can make the hair on my neck stand up when he sings)

Just catching up on the thread --
Just a comment -- it is OK to have different opinions. It is OK to disagree. It is not reasonable to expect everyone, most members, even any members to agree with your opinion. When people do not agree with you, just try to accept it.
I often post opinions that are unpopular -- and I know that it can be difficult to accept that there is not always one right answer.[/b]

And after I had thought of it, I said, "I will, then, be a toad."
