I don't get it. Why would Adam pratically finish a whole album, and then decide to trash it and move to another label, and start the writing process again from scratch? Wouldn't it be better to release the album and only then move to another label? I have a gut feeling that Adam had a change of heart, or may be some sort of an epiphany with renewed creative juices flowing, last summer around writing camp time in France. That's just me. Not sure if that decision influenced the label change or not. But I do believe that he is at a point in his career where he can afford to make less compromises both when it comes to time pressure as well as artistic decisions. I am sure that none of his songs are lost - he probably will have lots to choose from when compiling an album. The writing camp was Warner’s, I would think any songs that came from that endeavor would likely have some permanent tieback to them.

He never said the album was almost finished ,he said the opposite. He probably has quite a great deal of good songs to be used whenever... He has said he wants to be himself ,to me this says that he doesn't want to repeat what all the other singers are doing.Adam is very unique and needs a label who glories in Adam's creativity and uniqueness. To find this label is a process... He said the music was all done, and they're just polishing it up before releasing, and then suddenly he was back to square one in the studio. As for the songs - I don't think he gets to keep them. As far as I understand the process, it's the label that keeps them, and if they don't have Adam any more, they could give the songs to another singer. But I don't know much about those things, and I'd be happy to be corrected.

Before Adam was in my life, I never realized how important a label was to an artist. Melliemom, you are right that the "right" label is the one that allows the singer to be himself, then approves of it and promotes it. (I realize that "promotion" can come from different parts of an artist's "team.) But it's about time Adam could fine a long-term home with a label that gets him and supports him. I don't think Adam would make a rash move. There must have been a thoughtful plan here, with some discussion.

Good article with a small bit of extra information, early part has what we saw in the video interview. New for me was more about their collaboration with Paul Rogers, well known in the UK before them, mix of Queen/Bad Company played well near the UK but not so much the farther away they got. With Adam can conquer the world as almost pure Queen.

Not surprised, the handwriting has been on the wall for a while now. I have often wondered though, if Adam would eventually put together his own small label (much like Safehouse), for both his own music and a select few others. He always shows a lot of interest in small up and comers. With the right backers and contacts it could be a very interesting and potentially lucerative venture for him. I've thought this too. It seems so interested that it would give him good mentoring ops but maybe he thinks he has plenty of time. I'm not so sure on how much of a money maker it would be but I would love to see him create more of his own things like first time writing camps, auditions, etc more than simply popping in on something already going on.

Well, not really a surprise. WBR hasn't shown much interest in him in over year. I just hope he somehow finds another label. I don't think that's at all a given. Really hard for your music to make any kind ofimpact without label support.
