Also notable that the charts looks like it will be opening up. A lot of songs out now will be mature by October, and there really are no new CHR songs on the Sept radio add list that are from huge Pop Divas.

I was thinking the exact same thing. The Pop Divas seem to be on hiatus as far as new music goes. ;D
I guess Britney is still releasing singles, but I don't know if she has anymore left. And by mid-Oct. this new one should be almost gone. Hers seem to fall as fast as they rise! I can definitely see one more single from Adele, possibly 2, either Rumor Has It or Set Fire to the Rain are worthy, IMO. And Bruno Mars seems to be taking a rest too! YAY! Oh, Kelly's is out there but I don't see her style as competition for Adam unless she has some big surprises on the album.

OMG! My post just got me all crazy excited for Adam's new music! (As if I wasn't already excited enough!)

LMAFAO's new song, imo, is horrible.....and Jessie J's Domino sounds exactly like Katy Perry which is a shame given her vocal talent, but who knows...it could be a hit for her since Katy's sound is really hot right now.

That's very exciting, Q3, where does Demi's "Skyscraper" fit in? And "Mr. Know It All"? Since they released right before the September list, they'd still be considered climbing, but I agree, no major Diva Domination at the moment.

And LMAO that Nicole Sherzinger's song is "Don't Hold Your Breath"! Appropriate title is appropriate, IMO. She may get some impetus from "X-Factor," but her singing on Idol was painful and I stand by my contention that there doesn't seem to be one single authentic thing about her. It's like she was assembled in a discount pop diva laboratory.

Note: Mediabase CHR panel changed on 9.1.11 and 2 stations were removed so update numbers will be odd this week.

Radio stations play the big diva's (Britney - Katy - Gaga) without even caring what the song sounds like. I hope Adam can get radio play based just on His name like that some time.

I actually FLOVE "Last Friday night." The lyrics crack me up and make me laugh and I sing along, in my car, as loud as I can! Is this one of Bonnie McKee's songs? It's hard to sing too because the words come so damn fast!! Really, except for Katy Perry, I have pretty good taste in music! LOL! ???

Yes, but that often is the result of one breakthrough hit. Once and artist makes that leap, they seem to get "carte blanche" with PDs. If their last song was good, we will play the living crap out of the next song, regardless of quality (which is why we were subjected to "Lazy Song" for months).

I will be prepared to hear LMFAO's new song every 10 minutes ...

Was only able to skim yesterday's thread, but have definitely bookmarked it! There are still many weeks of waiting for Adam's single and album - all this great music will help fill the void.

Sundays are always special here because of NoAngel's wonderful essays, and today is no exception.
