I've read so many times about famous artist, when they are on tour, usually just stay in pools, or hotels, at least the ones that come here☹ I love that Adam is always up for interesting visits to beautiful places that might inspire him!!

Queen and Adam Lambert treat Ahoy at the ultimate companion party Written by Robin de Roode on June 28, 2018 at 16:25
High visit in Ahoy! Queen's legendary rockers finish Wednesday in the Rotterdam event hall together with singer Adam Lambert. Innovative shows are no longer a show, but with so many classics in a set, the audience will be a sausage.
Queen and Adam Lambert will take part in Ahoy
Just over half a year after the band's last show in Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome, Queen and Adam Lambert return to The Netherlands for a show in Ahoy Rotterdam. The set lists of both performances are therefore, with a few exceptions, almost identical. It should not be fun, because of course the audience comes for one thing: those dozens of legendary hits of the equally legendary British band.
Early in the set, the extravagant Adam Lambert gets the biggest elephant out of the room: "I'm not Freddie Mercury." And so it is. The 36-year-old American honors his example by giving his own twist to the legendary songs, and in Ahoy he succeeds in doing so. Not only with his vocals, but also his humor and charisma.
MOJO on Wednesday
Last year, Queen + Adam Lambert brought their show to the Ziggo Dome and blew them all too far. Tonight they were in Rotterdam Ahoy with a spectacular show! Brian May stays forever young
The band races in the first part of the show with songs like 'Tear It Up', 'Tie Your Mother Down' and 'Fat Bottomed Girls', which proves to be the best show tonight.
The now 70-year-old Brian May rides as a young dog over the stage's catwalk. The British guitarist, who seems to stay forever forever, seems to have a lot of fun and radiates the whole show from top to toe. Humor and humility with showman Adam Lambert
During a series of classics like 'Killer Queen', 'Do not Stop Me Now' and 'Bicycle Race', singer Lambert's showman shaping is perfect. During the first-mentioned track, the vocalist is on top of the head of Robot Frank (known for the artwork for Queens album 'News of the World') and drives a pink tricycle, including horn and bicycle bell, on stage .
Nevertheless, it's especially his humourous stories and the humility he speaks about his great idol Freddie, making Lambert such a sympathetic appearance. "There can be only one rock god," the singer tells about his "predecessor", while also telling him that he still can not believe he can tour the world with the two 'greatest rock musicians of all time'.
There are only few singers who come close to Freddie's singing qualities and personality, but the flamboyant Adam Lambert has proven to be one of the many years here.
Taylor and May in the spotlights
Not only does Lambert sing out the lungs tonight, as May and drummer Roger Taylor regularly hear from themselves. The latter shows during the track 'I'm In Love With My Car' that he is still well-matched. Despite the fact that the drummer has reached the respectable age of 68, the combination of drums and singing is still unsuccessful at the same time.
Brian May gets the whole room quiet with an acoustic and emotional performance of 'Love of My Life', showing Freddie Mercury on the big screen during the last part of the song. The moving moment brings the room, which is currently being lit by hundreds of phone lights, an ultimate chicken skin moment.
May, who has taken his best Dutch for the occasion ("Good evening Ahoy is doing well with you?") Turns out to be a selfiestick after the track and enthusiastically takes a video with the audience. Yet another example of public interaction at its best. Lambert, May and Taylor know no-one how to play their fans. Queen treats Ahoy at the ultimate companion party
With tracks like 'Somebody to Love', 'Radio Ga Ga' and of course the ultimate screaming song 'Bohemian Rhapsody', Queen and Adam Lambert de Ahoy make a big compassion. But the absolute sing-along moment takes place during the break for the encore, when the legendary "Day-Oh" fragment of Freddie Mercury is shown in Wembley. Even after his death Mercury knows how to direct every concert hall.
With the striking 'We Will Rock You' and the euphoric meteorologist 'We Are The Champions', the audience, young and old, once again lusts before Lambert and the band say goodbye. Ahoy Rotterdam has just been treated to the ultimate compassion of a band whose music has been relevant for more than 40 years, and probably will continue for many generations.

It was so special to see Queen and Adam Lambert in Ahoy: that venue holds a special place in my hart, I have seen all my favorite artists there and it was there where i attended my very first concert many years ago. #QALRotterdam #AdamLambert #QAL @adamlambert @queenwillrock 06:10 - 28 jun. 2018
