I've noticed that he started singing the "why" a little differently than before in the recent shows, and wondered why he changed it up like that. It was sounding great before when he sang it, and now it doesn't sound quite right to my ears either.. I'm trying to play catch up as I've been traveling, so I'm not exactly sure when he started singing it this way.. cassie any thoughts? I am not clear about what change you are speaking of. Previously, Adam would glide on WHYYYYYYY up to a high D, hold it, and then stop singing when the band changed chords and started singing "Love, love, love...: youtu.be/YPQPcH1jcJs?t=2m25sThis tour, he glides up to the D, holds it, then when the band changes chords continues to glide up to a high E. youtu.be/K223qhFAZW4?t=2m33sAlso, a couple of times, he would slow down the glide so he hits the D and keeps going to the E without stopping, but hitting the E at the chord change. youtu.be/ai4G2f6lClINot su re I am explaining it clearly. It is a very subtle difference. Hmm I don't really know notes, so am just going by how it sounds to me. This video's "why" appeals to my ears.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1Rn-MPHwkcThere's some subtle difference to this video which isn't as appealing for whatever reason I can't explain.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=K223qhFAZW4Okay the more I listen, the more uncertain I am of the difference, but I think it may be that in the first video, he sings a lower note before taking it up higher, whereas the second video has less of that lower note before he goes higher. Does that even make sense or is it just my imagination?

I feel the same way. I think it has to do with it being London. They are a hard nut to crack, after all it's Freddie and Queens back yard so a lot to prove to them. Apparently it's been proven!Yep that is a major part of it. Also in remembering one of his latest interviews where he stated that it hurt him when what he was doing on Idol, to showcase his talent, was hijacked by those who wanted to make it more about his sexuality instead of his talent. One of the brightest stars to ever come on that show was not allowed to enjoy showing the world just what he had to offer. I always felt the EW story was not meant to help him in the competition. Slezack put that article out. He came to appreciate and respect Adam later but at the time of that article, KA and Allison were his favorites and he had little use for Adam. And there was time for Adam to become a role model (which he is) and he was not hiding anything. So it is really nice to see people appreciate ALL of him and his enormous talent. I mean, there is no one out there like him. The fans who had not seen him before are seeing it first hand with no filter. It must mean so much to him. And he can be a LGBT role model and still have people also recognize the awesome vocalist and showman that he is. He deserves that recognition also in the US, imo. Slezack had nothing to do with that EW article. It was written by Mark Harris. I have the magazine and double checked. Slezack was not writing for EW he was doing the Idolatry episodes.

Oops. Not so much that the note was off, but he glided up to it too soon, before the instrumental harmony settled on the chord that fit that note. So, he stopped singing it, then realized the right chord was now present, and hit it again. Maybe? I've noticed that he started singing the "why" a little differently than before in the recent shows, and wondered why he changed it up like that. It was sounding great before when he sang it, and now it doesn't sound quite right to my ears either.. I'm trying to play catch up as I've been traveling, so I'm not exactly sure when he started singing it this way.. cassie any thoughts? Well, whatever Adam did with Under Pressure and the bit "WHYYYYYY," ……...I forgive him.
