Adam would be golden in a small role and think of how wonderful he'd be on the promo couch circuit. I'm imagining "and introducing Adam Lambert as .....". However, I'm selfishly hoping for him being "hopelessly devoted" to Adam 2.

Folks, while you are busy enjoying speculation re something that ain't going to happen - can you please put your minds to speculate on something that IS happening? Namely - why do you think the Twitter followers rate of growth is increasing steadily lately? It's been three days in a row with well over 2K/day and slightly increasing every day: twittercounter.com/adamlambert?manual_update=1

Well I'm excited about a possible role in a musical movie! And I guess I'm the only one here who likes Tom Cruise. Don't give a crap about his personal life, but the man can act. Wish I would have gone into the city to see it on Broadway so I could pick what role Adam should play. I never went because Constantine gives me the creeps. I wonder when he'll ever wash his hair. I like Crusie too and he is a great actor, IMO! And he can be funny as hell! Have any of you seen him in Tropic Thunder? I gotta join the "Tom Cruise can really act" team. From the little I know, he seems like he's personally a bit of a nutter, and I never found him remotely sexy, not even in the Top Gun days, but I always thought his semi pin-up status undercut his skills as an actor. He pretty fearless, happy to play totally unlikeable characters, and he's pretty subtle about his parodies, so a camp role like this one might be perfect for him (see "Magnolia.") I was first kinda wowed by him in Rain Man. I think the guy is talented. NO idea if he can sing, but, um, he can dance? I know absolutely nothing about Rock of Ages, and nothing (fortunately, apparently) about Constantine either. But the intentionally camp thing is really fun and can be very clever, and is, IMO, the best way to go with the movie-musical, so what you guys describe sounds kinda exciting. Of course, I too don't think a little tweet from Curtis means anything at all other than wishful thinking. But I don't think Adam would be nearly as quick to dismiss a Broadway Movie role as he would a Broadway stage roll. No been-there-done-that aspect, and I think he would welcome an entre into the movies that plays of his experience and his strengths. And if the movie really does have cruise, alec baldwin, russell brand, gwyneth, and anne hathaway in it, that sounds pretty promising to me.

Guys, please refrain from telling other posters what or how to post, okay? That violates one of the rules of the forum. If you're concerned with what someone is posting, PM a mod. IMO we've all pre-flailed over news that has turned out to be inaccurate. Thanks!

On second thought...I don't think I would want Adam in a movie with Tom or anywhere next to Tom for fear that he would work his voodoo magic on him and somehow convert him into his cult...erm, I mean his religion of Scientology!! Aye dios mio! LOL.
Then again maybe Adam would convince Tom to embrace his truth and we could have epic CRUISEBERT!

COOKIE sent you a PM. Resume flailing about whatever floats your boat.
Oh, and re: Twitter about which I know next to nothing, didn't FHS (Fifth House Sun a member) discuss something about hitting a tipping point at a certain number of followers and this causes some regular exponential growth. Uh, bring on the numbers folks while I back out of the room slowly.

I am back of page 9 so I am not sure it has been brought up, but the role that Tom Cruise is up for is not the lead. Stacy Jaxx is maybe in 30% of the play.
The role that Constantine played, Drew (I think) is the lead. If this rumor is true about Adam auditioning, he could be up for that role but there are several other smaller parts he could play as well.
I guess we will just have to wait and see if this is for real.
I just saw the play on New Year's Eve and it was soooooo hilarious!!!!
