Hi, haven’t posted in forever but wanted to comment on Vegas, and Wednesday 19th show.
First, this is all just my humble opion, please.
i love Vegas. So much to do, see. I also do not gamble, smoke or drink. Once over the sticker shock that a Pepsi is $4.50, we ( my daughter and I) had a great time. Full disclosure, I was there 2 years ago for 7 days and still felt I missed a lot. First, stayed at The cosmopolitan, a great hotel, quiet, fantastic restaurants, central location. Flew in from Florida tues am, to acclimate to 3 hr time change.
Shopped, great mall near far end of strip, great dinner at hotel( Holsteins) saw zombie burlesque, fun show, but really all I could think of was another lonely nite, Wednesday breakfast at Parisian hotel, (date basted bacon, yum) sightseeing walking the strip, shopping, dinner at Red Room at Mandalay Bay, wonderful Russian dinner(Groupon is my friend). Then on to the show the real reason for this trip. I had fantastic seat, sec 300 two rows from casual seating dead center of stage, thrust. Seated with true queen fans , all of which have seen and traveled to see QAL. Show exceeded my expectations. The light show was really like a force of nature. Exceptional, except, ( please remember only Mho) I felt Adam ‘s vocals just a wee bit muddy. I traveled to Montreal last summer for the show, sat even with end of thrust, Adam ‘s side first row second section, and the sound was just fantastic. In a hockey arena, go figure. Cought where Adam leaned down to young boy in front, so freaking sweet. Also Adam ‘s facial color at end of thrust was mostly a mild green, normal color off b stage.
I appreciate every video made, but most those are Adam centric, and to experience show dead center was a whole different thing. It really was exceptional, every single second.
Waited over 30 min in merchandise line and walked back to hotel. Venue very nice, Not impressed with the Park casino common area, seemed kinda generic. What I love is that I felt comfortable walking the couple of blocks to the hotel, alone at 11 pm.
Wed went to Grand Canyon, just wow, loved every second, dinner at Mexican/Asian fusion restaurant in hotel , saw show Opium also at cosmopolitan, fun talented cast.
Thurs, breakfast at wicked spoon in cosmopolitan, so good, went to mob museum, so interesting a must see, the atomic testing museum, the Venetian to walk, the mirage for the Beatles store( saw that show last time) the dolphin exhibit with a month old baby dolphin , the cutest thing ever, Siegfried and Roy’s secret garden , lions and tigers and leopards oh my. On to Caesar’s to shop and watch the free Zeus show on floor 3. Then the topiary at bellagio, the worlds largest chocolate fountain, and a taste of those wonderful treats, the fountains and on and on.
And that’s about it, a great trip saw many cool , interesting things, the food , so many choices, can’t wait to go back, but gotta wait for Adam ‘s plans !
One we of the best things of being a glambert, the travel. My family just assumes I’ll be going somewhere to see him, cannot wait for what the future brings.
Oh yea the daughter comes on trip to “babysit” me, cause she knows I’d go alone, and we always have a great time. Good excuse for her to tell her boyfriend. Lol.
Some other things to do in Vegas I did last trip, the titanic exhibit, aquatic exhibit at Mandalay Bay, Eiffel Tower, at dusk, the high roller, at nite, riding the monorail, end to end at different times of day and nite, great views, the Beatles and Michael Jackson cirque solei shows, volcano eruption at mirage , if with a large group, party bus, neon museum, wax museum, and walk the shops at Venetian and Caesar’s. Have I made my case for Vegas yet? Lol.
Remember , just my opion.
Regarding use of resources, all fountains are using grey water, treated by each of the hotels, also can be used in case of fire.
I believe my hotel sorted trash, saw separate bins on staff carts.
Disclaimer, I live in Tampa, near most Florida attractions and enjoy pretty much all of them. But loved the change in topography in Nevada. Nestled in the valley, saw snow on the mountains last trip, while 90 degrees on strip. Yea kinda geeky. Lol.
