On one of the political debates earlier this week, I think something was mentioned about Gardasil, which set off a twitter debate with Neil. (should you vaccinate or not?) He is for vaccination and it got pretty nasty. There were a couple of people on Twitter who are absolutely convinced their daughters are now suffering from severe reactions to the vaccinations (one is certain her child developed colitis). thx... I could not figure out why would he argue medical issues but I can see Neil reacting to a right wing lunacy on any topic...he is really into that stuff Moria - your clarification re pulse is reassuring. Sounds like a page formatting change, not a substance change. Neil says very specifically, he is there to irritate people. He has a definte view point and will argue it to the end. Got respect him.

Noangel awesome essay, and gelly , that picture, his eyes, adam is definately one of those rare people that when they look at you they really see you, when he is listening he really hears,, so amazing, just at the moment that i need it a fantastic example of a person living completely in the moment appeared and he is an incredible role model,,, i have learnt such a lot from watching him sing and talk and just be. Now in my life i am allowing myself to live in this moment and love in this moment and even though i may be fucken terrified it is the best feeling ever,, he is a teacher,, a leader,, oh and he's got a glorious voice as well,,, seriously how did all of that end up in one person,, oh and i really love this place,, i love that i can be my happy unsociable self and sit on the sidelines and then every now and then when i want to i can drop in and i get to sing happy birthday to people that can't hear me ,,which is probably a good thing,, and i wonder out loud how people are and i have been doing little rain dances for texas too,, oh fuck it's good to be a little nutty in my corner of the world!!!! Peace and love to ya all,,,,,,,,,,,, What a great post! Thanks for showing up when you do!

Guys, I lurk on fye and from what I gathered there, Adam's tbd date hasn't been changed, just the header of the section which he's listed under. Now his album is grouped with all known albums to drop in 2011 and 2012. I don't have access to pulse forums nor do I feel invested enough to create an account, but if anyone here has access then can they post screencaps? He said one of the reasons that he thinks that we are not seeing all of the great music that we did years ago, is that artists now days are spending way to long getting albums out and then when months and months go by, people are expecting something epic and are for the most part disappointed and wonder why it took so long to produce what they did. Coldplay and REM were a couple of the examples he gave. Not to mention that people have had a long time to move on - especially not great for the "new" who are trying to establish a fan base. It doesn't make any sense: music was great in the past because artists took SHORTER time to release album? I was under the impression that the grater care, effort and TIME taken, the better chances for high quality products. Michael Jackson put out new albums every 3-4 years on average. Pop stars of today seem to work like there's no tomorrow and churn out new music every 1-2 years. The theory that in the past artist put out new music more often than now doesn't actually hold all that well. To top that: I find the notion that today there's no great music absurd. I do believe that if you are a really great artist, you may not need years to produce something wonderful. And I agree, I think that is some great music around right now, that was one point that was never mentioned last night that I thought was odd. ETA: The young adults had control of the music last night and it was all newer stuff. One of the women at the party who was prob around 45 (and has been to too many concerts to count) all of the sudden said - who is this girl who is singing, I like this song? Turns out it was Adele and no one except me owned the album. Most of them were definitely living in the past. My hubby spent the better part of the evening winking at me from across the room. While I really enjoy lots of older music, I enjoy lots of newer stuff as well. And another thing ..... delays of course are not always the fault of the artist.

Sounds like a page formatting change, not a substance change. Neil says very specifically, he is there to irritate people. He has a definte view point and will argue it to the end. Got respect him. Like Neil or not he does provoke discussion and debate much like Adam but approaching from the negative or cynical side rather than the positive. They are like flip sides of a coin but both are very good at getting people talking. Nothing is ever settled or changed through silence and arguing with people is the best way to develop your own positions. Through discussion and debate we refine our positions and our arguments. Everyone has their own beliefs and I admire people who can stick to them but I admire more those who can present a coherent argument for their position. The biggest problem I see is that a lot of people adopt positions that are popular with the people they socialize with but never truly take the time to study what they are supporting. My favorite thing at parties used to be to spot someone who was very vocal about agreeing with someones position and then follow them around to the next little grouping at the party and listen to them then very vocally support someone who was espousing the exact opposite of the position they just supported in the previous little group discussion. I was always fascinated by the fact that plenty of people simply went along with whatever the popular idea seemed to be at the time with whatever group they were with even when that changed 4 or 5 times in the space of one night at a party. There are a lot of people in this world unfortunately who are perfectly happy to just blindly follow along without ever truly thinking anything through and actually making a CONSCIOUS decision. Which is why I have always loved stepping into conversations and challenging whatever the current popular line is because you very quickly find who KNOWS their stuff and who is just parroting what they have heard.

Can I just say how much I love this picture? Sauli talking away to someone to his right, but still draped over Adam's shoulder (and Adam holding his hand), the matching nail polish, the lights (and are those upholstery brads?) on Adam's recycled hat. Is that the much maligned poncho I see? And I think Sauli's hat looks like the hats they wear in Germany or Bavaria in Oktoberfest pictures. Damn, those two are cute.

There is a new pic from BM, but I don't know it's origin. Polly @pollyness Polly RT @finney_4: new burning man pic yfrog.com/khv437j Really tiny but I see Adam dyed in some blue. So this one answers the question about whether he was shirtless in that one pic. Looks like the ole vest tank top trick!
