I agree with the person who earlier said, those are lights on the top of Adam's hat (not spikes.) You can really see it well in that pic that is enlargeable a few pages back.

Fun watching the AI 8 tour finale. I have a challenge for you ninjas. One of the concerts Kris was sick and didn't appear. Adam was on the lift at the end of the song by himself. I saw it on YT ages ago, but haven't been able to find it since. Anyone have a link to that one? It was Bridgeport, CT and the reason I can remember so quickly is because I had a friend there who was hoping Adam would do extra songs! I'll go look for a You Tube and BRB! ETA: Here you go! Thanks!!! Knew someone would remember. (Is it okay to admit I didn't miss KA at all?)

...just at the moment that i need it a fantastic example of a person living completely in the moment appeared and he is an incredible role model,, Flyteplan, I liked your post - especially the quote above. I'm not completely sure, because like everything else in my brain it's complicated, but I THINK this 'living completely in the moment' is the number one reason that I was drawn, and continue to be drawn, to Adam. I definitely feel I have a tendency not to be truly present in my own life. Like you, Flyteplan, I find it terrifying, and for me it also seems at times to be incredibly painful. But this is the necessary journey I am attempting to make at the moment. I am not really talking about freeing myself to be more expressive or daring or courageous -- I was working on that long before I saw Adam (not that I don't still have a long way to go). I'm talking more about paying attention and being present in each moment, regardless of what I am doing -- it's more about the internal shift, rather than the external. Although Adam exemplifies both.

Yeah...I really don't. As a mother who has dealt with issues over vaccinations for the past 18 years, I can't respect some young kid's insistent and inflexible views on an issue they "think they know about". I struggled with the decision of whether to vaccinate or not just this past summer. Due to issues, that I will not get into on a public forum, I made the very difficult decision to not vaccinate my daughter with the meningococcal vaccine before she entered her freshman year in college. It is not a decision that was taken lightly. I spent many hours in research and spoke to many health care professionals and other parents before I reached my decision. Until Neil is AT LEAST A PARENT, he should, at the very least, try to understand the difficult position some parents are thrust into. I don't care for Neil- his attitude, personality or his negativity. Kelly's new song "Mr. Know It ALL" keeps running through my head when I think of him. Neil couldn't be any more different than Adam, and that is a very, very good thing! Adam's personality and general outlook on life is just another thing that draws people to him. If Adam's personality was like Neil's, I can safely say there is no way I would be on a fanboard devoted to him! I too did an evaluation for meningitis for both son and daughter and decided to vaccinate. My daughter also did the Gardasil. They are now recommending Gardasil for boys, which I will not do. My husband had 2 bouts of meningitis and it is not pretty. Both times a week in ICU. You can get it just from a severe sinus infection. The ramifications are enless, which my husand can attest to. So I did the vaccinations. To each their own. By the way, Neil doesn't have to be a parent to have a view. He did his reasearch. Neil isn't a doctor, and even if he was, doctors aren't always right. Neil did his research, I did mine. I fully understand the potential dangers of deciding not to vaccinate. Until you have been through what my daughter and I have been through, you are unlikely to understand my position. I'm alright with that. I make my decisions on what is best for my daughter and you make your decisions on what is best for your family. When Neil becomes a parent, he can vaccinate his child with every available vaccination on the planet. His child- his decision. My child-my decision.

It was a great discussion to provoke, and yes ... he doesn't have to be a parent to have a view. Without being a parent though it was too easy for him to write off parents that don't hold the same view as him as 'bad parents'. Even if he was a parent that has had to face such tough decisions, his judgemental attitude alienates and is counter-intuitive to help alter mindsets of those sitting on the fence over this vaccination.

Last night marked the end of the Idol Summer Tour for Season 10. Someone at MJs posted the You Tube link to what she thought was the best last Idol tour night, ever. Being the Idol Loon that I am, I'd have to agree! Here's my contribution to all the BFTP posts. Be sure to watch all the way to the end. It was obviosuly taken by an Adam fan as he is the focus for the whole thing. I remember watching this video a hundred times and just smiling at what a great group they were and how they hugged and laughed with the band and the crew as well as one another. Another video taken from some deck looking down on the busses that night really choked me up, especially when Megan hung on to Adam forever as if she wasn’t ready to give up him OR the experience. I thought it was adorable.

But why are they not lit up like the ones around the brim are? They look like metal tacks to me. ETA: I believe Hans is Roxy's BF, so it's not at all surprising that he is there too.
