What the actual fuck does this even mean??? Next month (ish) = maybe October? Early 2012 = January? February? March? April? And he says by the end of next week all the songs will be finished, but there will still be maybe FIVE MONTHS OR MORE before the album is released? Well, if that's the case, why is there any need for him to rush through "finishing" the songs in the next week? They really need 4-5 months to add backing tracks and do other production stuff? I'm with you seoulmate and the image you selected perfectly expresses how I feel -- really disappointed. I'm very surprised too, thought for sure the album would come out by end of November. :( :(

Glad shev66 was able to provide Sia's tweet for you, gelly. Can't believe the song didn't even make it onto the deluxe edition. . . . Until Era 2, Katy Perry wasn't Katy Perry. She had been through a couple different labels and had two good singles off first album. It was strategy and positioning that made her second album so successful. I think that's our answer. From everything he's said ("still lots of work to be done" notwithstanding), it seems like Adam will be finished with the album by mid-October, as expected, so it seems to me that if he, the label, and his management really wanted to, they could have released a single this month even and still have had the album out in November--but (perhaps because of management change and label upheaval) probably without laying all of the groundwork to give him a Katy Perry-type launch, if his new management wants to follow the model they put in place for her (or something similar to it). I'm going to look at this as a good sign that they really believe in the material and in him and truly recognize how vital it is to give Adam a stellar start for this all-important second CD. It does seem a bit odd--but not unheard of--that the album will just be sitting there, finished, for possibly three months or more. But if Adam's done recording and the CD is in the can, and that part of the process is off his shoulders, he can move on to interviews, performances, video shoots, photo shoots, international promotion and travel. I'm not saying that he couldn't have still done most of those things concurrently with a November release, but maybe this way things can be more strategic and easier to schedule.

Early 2012?? AUGH! AARGH!!!! >:( :( :-[ :-/ :D Okay, now I feel better. It was just that some people were kind of promising a huge, magnificent promo effort, and I lived in belief that Project runway etc. were a part of the pre-exposure of that promo. Guess not, then. Admittedly the November release was starting to stress me out. Why there was not a release date? why there wasn't a single? Ok, with the "new" date he'll miss the christmas sales, but it's not like he would be putting out a christmas album, his aim is to put out an album as good as possible. He puts out an album good enough, and it will still sell in christmas 2012! *Sits down to wait for the single* ;D

Not gonna say a lot. Adam never said anything about a release date for the album. For the single he said 8 weeks, never for the album. He said many times and in the last twitter party that he's taking his time. Everyone was speculating and hoping for this year. We don't know the strategy.Just because there was a pattern going on for so many years for every artist and every release date doesn't mean that this won't change. Strategies change. In all sorts of bussiness throughout the years. Many times for the better. They changed the strategy for Adele didn't they? I mean about the release dates. Not saying it's the same situation just saying an example. I won't angst for sure. I'm here and waiting patiently. ETA Before someone starting to prove me wrong, I am wrong OK? Yes he did say that his album is gonna be released in the fall. I remembered it as I was typing. My POV still remains the same though. Strategies CAN change and no angst.
