I saw Wicked last December in London (a day after QAL). I don’t know „The Wizzard of Oz“ and „Wicked“ was OK, but nothing special to me. The musical played 3-4 years inGermany (2007-2011), but was never a huge success. Sometimes it gets still played though. Maybe many of us (Germans) just don’t get it? 🤔 I remember, that I saw these big ads for Wicked on TimesSquare in NY in 2009. And that I wondered, what this green witch is about. But the resume never gripped me. Anyway, I finally went to see it in London, because I often attend musicals and I wanted to see, what Adam did, before idol. And the cast in London did really well! 😁 HA! I have never seen Wicked so have zero opinion about it. My only interest in the special is that Adam will be singing on tv. There is no one else in the broadcast that could get me to tune in. Still hope it will be a good show with great performances. And I have some interest in Ledisi cause she is singing with Adam, lol. Correct me if I am wrong but it is not the musical but they are just performing the songs from the musical and talking about it? Even though I have been aware that Wicked is the prequel to the Wizard of Oz, I could never really connect with the story. Regarding the show tomorrow, I am mostly excited to see Adam and I have no doubt that he will do his job more than convincingly. I believe it will be a selection of songs and not the whole musical.

And I've seen The Wizard of OZ many times since childhood with my family and was never traumatized or scared in a bad way. Just in kind of a fun way. I even liked the flying monkeys and thought they were kind of goofy. They weren't evil. They just had to do the Wicked Witch's bidding. But lots of things are scary when you're 5 or 6 or even 7. She also refused to watch Bambi, because Bambi's mom got shot...hated that movie too. She was a sensitive soul at that point, I guess. She got less sensitive a few years later, enjoyed watching her blood getting drawn and watched her grandfather get stitches in his hand. My complicated, awesome daughter lol. I was five years old, when "Mr Bean" the movie came out. My dad, brother and I watched it in theaters. I got so scared my dad had to leave the theater with me because I was crying. When Mr Bean wrecks the painting he draws this face on it. That face just freaked me out! I had nightmares of it after.

Correct me if I am wrong but it is not the musical but they are just performing the songs from the musical and talking about it? For those who have never seen Wicked and still don't quite get what it is about, quite simply, it is a prequel to The Wizard of OZ. It is the story of the birth and young life of two sisters, one of whom becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, the one who torments and kidnaps Dorothy. The story ends right where The Wizard of Oz begins, with Dorothy's house falling on her sister, The Wicked Witch of the EAST. While this is correct, the thing that made it irresistible to me (and to a lot of people out there) was that it took everything I thought I knew about the characters of the original story, and put it on its head. There were so many twists and (more or less) surprising reveals, even a twist in the twister, that I lost count while watching it. It is made of the stuff good conspiracy theories are made of: What if the bad guys were actually good, the good guys not so much, certain atmospheric disturbances were not random or even natural, people who died didn't actually die, characters that were not people were actually people earlier, and so on and so forth... I read the Wizard Of Oz book (in a Bulgarian translation) when I was 10. I watched the movie probably 15 years later. When my path crossed with Hollywood, eventually I realized how ground-breaking the movie version was, but still I was more fascinated by the book due to the age at which I first came in contact with it. The musical uses elements of both, for example the magical shoes are silver like in the book and not ruby-colored (in the movie they were changed for Technicolor reasons ), but the appearance of Glinda in her bubble vehicle mimics the movie imagery... I will have to agree that intimate knowledge and love for the original source is an absolute requirement to fully appreciate the musical. The music is not as good as some other scores out there, but the writing is quite awesome. Like a mini-version of what J.K.R. did with Harry Potter, every single thread ends at the right place, and once it is done, every random detail eventually makes perfect sense in a rather surprising and fulfilling way. YMMV.

Adam holding his crotch looks like he has to go pee lol. My son used to do that when he was little. And isn't the mystery man holding Adam's hand Jake? I am not sure which picture Adam is holding a person's hand --- but if that is a hand hold...is it not Jason? The cowboy is Danny McAuliffe. (whom Adam has liked his instagrams in the past) He is the person who posted the instagram of kayarose. Adam is holfing hands with his friend Jason Sky.

After the first UK only weekend of the Bohemian Rhapsody movie Rotten Tomatoes still has it at 55% (a little higher than earlier this week) www.rottentomatoes.com/m/bohemian_rhapsody?cmp=TWRT_Movie_BohemianRhapsody_1023. But the IMDB score after almost 6,000 reviews is still 8.4 (which dropped a little). Which is still higher than for A Star Is Born though. www.imdb.com/title/tt1727824/The US voters on IMDB give it a 6.6 though and non-US a 8.3. They don't have from all where they are from though. Plus the movie isn't even out in the US. Those ratings are given by people reading the critics I guess. www.imdb.com/title/tt1727824/ratings?ref_=tt_ov_rtI'm very curious to how the rest of the world will value the movie. The Spotify stats for Queen are doing very well and I also see an increase in views on YouTube for some of the QAL video's. Some of the U.S. user reviews could be real -- it is not released here but there have been a lot of previews and showings. The U.S. reviews do not yet include a lot of fans. It should go up here but I doubt it will match the UK #'s.

I know Perez is not trustworthy but I wonder if there is some truth to some of what he is saying. I did hear rumors years ago that Natalia Kills was not being promoted by Interscope because she was too similar to Gaga. Never heard that it was Gaga doing the blocking, tho. Wonder how often this happens if it happened. And if Redone was blocked from working with Katy Perry, things sure worked out for Katy anyway, lol. Also, it does seem that Perez is not as awful as he once was. He was so mean to Adam when he was competing on Idol and early in his career. Tried so hard to make it ALL about his sexuality and less about his talent. At some point, Perez did lighten up when it came to Adam and moved on to other targets. www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=13&v=iTkbzRcYPSMYes, I know this is true. Redone was blocked from working with Katy Perry and some other artists.
I believe that Katy Perry did the same thing with producers after she had a string of big hits. I cannot confirm that. But the Redone story is true.
I always thought Perez could not make up his mind about Adam -- until he started to support him a bit in 2013+.

I only saw one picture, where it LOOKS like they are holding hands, because of the perspective in that exact moment. But Adam has his phone in that hand and is actually walking a few feet behind Jason. You can see that in other pictures from a different angle.
