Could it be a label clue? B G - if we include covering the mustache BMG www.bmg.com/us/ Have we linked him with BMG before? I can't find anything specific. There used to be Sony BMG but that's not the same it appears. Hmmm. Looks like this BMG is new. It lists Boy George (also a client of Shosh) and Lenny Kravitz as having released an album with them. Only a few other artists. You might be onto something. John Legend is there too. Website is weird but lots on the "music" page. I looked at Kylie Minogue and she signed with them in 2017 and got her new record out this year and is touring.

Is that a management thing? Because John Legend is still signed to a major label deal (Columbia) as far as I know. Same one as Adele and Beyoncé and Harry Styles.

There used to be Sony BMG but that's not the same it appears. Look toward Universal Music Group labels: Bee associated with Beyoncé, Beyoncé married to Jay Z, Jay Z is Roc Nation, Roc Nation is where Phil McIntyre now is,Philymac is in partnership with Roc Nation etc, etc, etc, ... or he can just afford a $350 baseball cap. BMG sounds possible bee, mustache, gone or gold (ring). Not sure how/what that means for Philymac as management though. Universal Music Group makes sense because of Philymack. Phil McIntyre is aligned to Roc Nation and Island Records (UMG).
It would be elegant if it was Island/Mercury Records.
I see the BMG but that makes no sense to me because that is Sony/RCS?!? As a recording label it is close to inactive.
There is a very active BMG publishing business.

The original BMG folded into Sony, but they kept their Rights Management business in the UK and have been building back up again with labels. Fergie was another one signed in 2017. www.bmg.com/us/news/Grammy-Award-Winning-Multi-Platinum-Superstar-Fergie-signs-with-BMG.html and here are some new rock releases from Alice in Chains etc. www.bmg.com/news/BMG-artists-score-three-in-the-Top-10-at-US-radio.html Lots of others signing or releasing new albums this fall. And they've acquired other labels like S-Curve which is where Andy Grammer is. www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/bmg-acquires-new-york-label-s-curve-records/I don't know why he would still be with Philymack. Phil McIntyre has disappeared into the ether and if he was working for Roc Nation you'd think he'd be mentioned in a press release sometime in the last 6 months for Roc Nation or Idol but he's nowhere to be found.

Oh, duh! I did not even think of BMG Rights Management's indie labels. ETA The operate indie labels but are not a small company -- now #4 in the music industry. And they are aggressive. I did not want my "indie" reference to be misinterpreted.

Adam seems happy, so whatever it is, I guess he is happy with it, and he wanted to do it enough to sit out a year. And his bio still says album soon. So that is all I really care about.

Adam signed with PhilyMack in Feb 2018 or so. Was on their website in March 2018. So I can't imagine him leaving so soon. -- I don't think Phil McIntyre has ever been much involved with Adam. So his role with Roc Nation probably does not matter. JMHO someone is doing his promo plan pretty well -- he is popping up in all kinds of different places, in all kinds of different ways. The past couple of months - Vegas on - have been an excellent ramp up.
But there are some rumors that Something is going on with PhilyMack. And could be routine maintenance but PhilyMack.com is just a homepage with no other accessible parts right now.
