James Durbin Collaborates with Pennyroyal Studio to Benefit Tourette Syndrome
James Durbin is the latest addition to Pennyroyal Studio’s diverse Signature Collection collaborators which donates a portion of proceeds to charity. For James, the design has a meaningful message, “My wing earring reminds me that anything is possible. It symbolizes the freedom you feel when you’re doing what you know you were born to do. I want to share this with my fans to encourage them to dream big and pursue their passion with everything they’ve got.” The ‘wing’ earring was created for James while he was a contestant on American Idol, and his signature is on the back of each piece sold.

Can one of you kind people tell me which channel is Project Runway on and what day of the week is it showing ? Thanks in advance. It's on LIFE Channel, I believe Thursdays at 9-10:32 pm Eastern. If you have AT&T Uverse, it's channel 1360 (HD). I haven't been watching this show, but will start tomorrow, Adam could be on next week, correct? ETA: Okay, chapf got it as well. Wal, Thank you too. I have Comcast. Now I'll just set my DVR so I won't miss it. |

I am glad gelly has gone to bed, she shouldn't see this ... she is so sweet. Where is burrito, I have my bottle of wine open and there is not point in letting it breathe too much. I am in a seriously pissy mood. So if there is someone I can smack talk who is dissing Adam, let me at 'em. Where is that Batman bitch slap gif, because for no reason whatsoever that is my Hee heemood. It would probably be best if I just went and made myself some dinner. This was discussed at MJs yesterday. It seems that every year, Tim from PennyRoyal contacts all the top contestants and asks if they would like to do a design for a favorite charity. Not all of them take him up on it. So far, only Adam, Crystal, James, and Jordin. Wow, I just noticed how much I love Jewel's pendant! |

Sometimes it really does seem like Durbin just keeps ripping pages out of Adam's playbook. I wonder if his fans will earn more for charity this round than Adam's since so many fans seem so lukewarm on the Peace Pendant.
I finally scraped up enough money to buy my Peace Pendant yesterday though, YAY!

Hi Guys, Once again I want to offer some encouragement for people to order a peace sign necklace, or, perhaps a second one to use as a gift! (Yay Mika! for finding a way to get peace pendants for the young people you counsel!) I know we won't reach the original goal of $75,000 for the Trevor Project, but every bit helps! I am not a collector type, but I have wound up with a few pieces of Adamobilia that someone may be interested in owning. I am going to offer these things as "premiums" (like PBS or NPR) for necklace orders. I am also offering a custom wedding ceremony as a third possible premium. Premium #1: The poster that came with the Acoustic Live album. This poster has never been removed from the shipping tube. Premium#2: The Rolling Stone magazine (June 25, 2009) with Adam on the cover with snake on his leg AND a group of things from the "pre-party" that was held at the Palomino before the 7/23/10 Glam Nation show at the Warfield in SF. The magazine cover has a small printing flaw, a spot on Adam's neck where the ink is smudged, as if the magazine was placed in a stack before the ink was completely dry. The items from the pre-party are a small poster (has been folded, and never had very good graphics), a post card of Adam blowing a kiss with lightstick with pre-party info photoshopped on his hand, 2 photo buttons (about 2 inch diameter, not the best graphic/production...) a small package of eye of horus temporary tattoos (apparently something made by the On the Meaning Of Adam Lambert people), and 4 lightsticks with "Glam nation SF Warfield 7/23/10" printed on them (2 used/popped, 2 never used). Premium#3: I will write a custom wedding ceremony (or renewal of vows or commitment/union) for you or a friend/family member. I have written and performed many, many ceremonies. I write beautiful, personalized, memorable ceremonies. The couple in need of a ceremony could consult with me via phone, then email, until we create a ceremony that is just what they want. If interested in purchasing a necklace and receiving one of these premiums, please PM me. Basically, you and I make an agreement, you then purchase from pennyroyal, I mail you the Adamobilia, or, for #3, we make arrangements for me to connect with the couple in need of a ceremony. peace&love So glad you posted this nonotme. I've been meaning to say something about the peace pendant, but had a few major RL derailments and felt a little hesitant, since I'm an infrequent poster, although I've been lurking since the very beginning of PF. I know some people were a little disappointed that the new pendant was not the skeleton key. There was already a tradition of Pennyroyal producing designs based on Adam's tattoos, and knowing that the image was important enough to him to ink it on his skin made the pendants seem very personal and special. The previous tattoo related pendants though had no direct artistic connection to the chosen charities, but it seems like this time he wanted an image and message specifically for The Trevor Project. In any case, I personally love the peace sign, always have. I love the graphic simplicity of it. I love that it's an image that at this point is almost synonymous with a sea change in American society. A whole generation of young people rejecting injustices of the past and ready to change the future. It's an image they chose to paint on their faces and hold over their heads as they marched in the street . That may sound a little romantic and OTT but IMHO it seems to fit with this fund raiser pretty well. Digressing a little, but shortly after 9/11 when everyone was flying the American flag at their front door, some ridiculous politician said that displaying a peace sign was un-American. I thought that was one of the most nonsensical things I had ever heard. That was the year my DH jury-rigged a giant wire peace sign and I wrestled a bunch of uncooperative evergreens to create what is now our traditional holiday display. Anyway, WRT gifting the peace pendant, when I ordered for myself I also made a gift to 1n10, the LGBT youth group in Phoenix that sounds similar to the one that Mika works with. I know many of you already support them and follow them and fellow Atopper Gracefuladam on Twitter. Like Mika said, there was no way I could gift all the kids, so I asked Gracefuladam if it would be welcome or appropriate to donate a pendant when I couldn't provide for everyone, and she said ''yes!!". They will use them for prizes for the kids and volunteers and also for fundraisers. It just seemed to make sense to me to have the pendant go to one of the young people that Trevor is dedicated to and the purchase of a single pendant could benefit both organizations. I'm in the mood to dream a bit. Now that we have some idea of what is coming with the single, here is my dream timeline.
Oct- the new single is a smash
Nov- because the single is such a smash black Friday sees an increase in sales of FYE, GNT live and AL
Dec- Adam is nominated for a Grammy for GNT long form video
Jan- Feb- Because the first single is a smash, a second one is released
March- Adam is asked to perform at the Grammy's because he has 2 hit singles. He wins for GNT. His album is released to high numbers.
It's fun to dream!
