UhHuhHerMusic U H H @adamlambert Where have you disappeared to...are you taking sun??? "taking sun", what does that mean?  It's something some say when they sun bathe, but who knows if that's what Cam means? :-/ |

Happy birthday didilynn!!!!! Thanks Rihannsu! So glad I met you last summer (think it was Raleigh or Roanoke???) - and thank you so much for all your informational posts here about various things and about the music industry and your experience with U2 and everything else! I really enjoy your perspective on things! I remember, it was whichever one had that power outage at the hotel and the bar was on emergency lights and didn't have any food. |

Oh yeah - pretty sure it was Roanoke. That was a cool older hotel - but bad timing for a power outage. My friend and I had flown in from the West Coast and wanted to shower and blow-dry before the concert - no such luck! But it didn't matter because at that concert I got to STAND AT THE STAGE BEHIND 1 PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And of course meeting all you PFers (that was the last weekend we had a PF of course) was a highlight also! Thank goodness for ADAMTOPIA to reunite us! |

For James, the design has a meaningful message, “My wing earring reminds me that anything is possible. It symbolizes the freedom you feel when you’re doing what you know you were born to do. I want to share this with my fans to encourage them to dream big and pursue their passion with everything they’ve got.” The ‘wing’ earring was created for James while he was a contestant on American Idol, and his signature is on the back of each piece sold. Someone else did answer this but I thought I'd put a little more info out there. Tim from Pennyroyal was interview on Liam's show and said that starting in S8 he started going in and meeting the top 10 or so. The purpose apparently was to gift them custom designed pieces. Lots of companies gift the idols with things for promo purposes and this was promo for his custom design business. He had in mind at the time the idea of partnering with music artists to design limited edition pieces with a portion of proceeds going to a charity of the artist's choice. He briefly mentioned this idea to all of the idols he talked to in S8 and Adam was the only one who jumped on it immediately. Right then he took one of the art blanks Tim was using to draw their designs and sketched his Eye of Horus tatoo. The piece didn't come out until much later because of the restrictions of the show but Adam approved the idea right then and there. Since then Tim says he has gone back each season and does the same gifting thing and offers them all the chance to do signature pieces. Only Crystal and now James have taken him up on it. He also has a piece for Jordin so he must have met her a some point too. In this instance I would be inclined to applaud James rather than knock him. I would hate to think that others were turning down the opportunity just because they wouldn't be first. |
