that timing issue probably cost Adam 200K album units in the US alone. That along with the Bastard album that ate away 100K of sales from FYE. I think that most of the purchasers of Take One (AKA "the Bastard Album") also purchased FYE. At least that is what was going on on Amazon where they show the purchases. Every episode brought a different side of Lambert to us: one week, he was a rock God, delivering Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love"; another time he went dark and mellow with his rendition of "Mad World" by Tears for Fears; during country week he put a bizarre and interesting twist on "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash. I kind of knew what was coming -- so I left knowing that it was not gonna be a quiet few days. So, all the talk about the release in November, and especially your talk about the Adam storm, was... misleading us for fun and games? Honestly, I believe that people were so disappointed in here because Atop drummed the idea of Adam storm being just around the corner. People thought that the Behind the Music was the first wave, and when things calmed back down, then they got anxious, and that build up until the announcement of 2012 date. |
