I have been entertaining myself watching youtube fan videos of Adam. The fans are so creative. Came across this screencap sketch in a video with Adam and Sauli. It reminded me of the artwork in the movie "Three men and and a Baby". Some will remember that film. Cute fan art (I always prefer fan art that is not drawn straight after photos, because what's the point in drawing by hand something that aims to look like photoshop filter?) but Sauli's lack of shoulders freak me out. Is he an amputee? A Thalidomide baby?

So, all the talk about the release in November, and especially your talk about the Adam storm, was... misleading us for fun and games? Honestly, I believe that people were so disappointed in here because Atop drummed the idea of Adam storm being just around the corner. People thought that the Behind the Music was the first wave, and when things calmed back down, then they got anxious, and that build up until the announcement of 2012 date. People are disappointed because they want new Adam music now or soon. And looking at other sites that have no overlap with ATop, seems that the level of disappointment is pretty much the same everywhere. There was a plan for a November release, and promo leading up to that. That was posted many places online -- not some ATop-only event. But in this business plans change all the time. The promotion was pushed when Adam switched management teams. Some fragments remain but that is old news. And regarding the November release -- that was not likely as soon as Adam tweeted that the single would prob be 8 weeks -- making it mid- to late October. And I posted my opinion that the album was not likely to be released in November here soon after that Twitter party. I can see what you are saying. It's probable that people were too slow to adjust their expectations, partially because they didn't want to, and partially because it's just hard to try and slow down the train. Remember when RCAEd refused to confirm the release date that european Sony had slapped for the album, and wrote about the label change rearrangement possibly causing delays? No-one believed him. And lo, he was right.

LOL! Emmuzka, I didn't even notice until you said that. Now I am freaking out! ETA: RCA Ed said the management change from 19 to DMG set Adam back about 2 months. Why didn't we all freak out then? ???

Thanks for the info about "taking sun". I seem to recall it from old British novels about going to Brighton -- to the beach -- and "taking sun," People are disappointed because they want new Adam music now or soon. And looking at other sites that have no overlap with ATop, seems that the level of disappointment is pretty much the same everywhere. There was a plan for a November release, and promo leading up to that. That was posted many places online -- not some ATop-only event. But in this business plans change all the time. And lo, he was right. I have come to respect RCA Ed. He is sometimes rude and says things in harsh ways -- but he is usually right and does not seem to lie. ETA: RCA Ed did not say "2 months" -- but said something that indicated the shift was going to be meaningful.

LOL! Emmuzka, I didn't even notice until you said that. Now I am freaking out! ETA: RCA Ed said the management change from 19 to DMG set Adam back about 2 months. Why didn't we all freak out then? ??? Did he give specifics? I don't remember that. I just know he said, the management changed may have delayed some things. Here's some of the reasons, I'm sorry, Q3, I DO NOT GET the "he isn't done" meme. A. He said all along he had until into October to record. He is still three weeks to a month before his original deadline has even come due, how can he be late? That timeline was built into his deadline, so they never expected to have the completed album in hand in order to set a drop date. B. From all accounts, Daughtry is still recording, so his album isn't done either. C. He didn't even start recording FYE until early September (with some summer prelims), but he said repeatedly, they recorded that album in two months and they still had it in stores for Black Friday. D. He had a drop date in 2009 before even recording (yes, I get that can be part of the post-Idol structure, but still, it contradicts the "the album has to be in RCA's hands before they set a release date" contention.) I am believing more and more that possibly Adam asked for the new date because he had some stuff he wanted to try (perhaps a late collab opportunity came about?) or DMG wanted a longer lead-time for its strategy. All that makes more sense to me that, "Oh, woops. He'll be finished when he's finished" meme. I think that scenario casts him in the worst light and I just don't buy it. Oh, and another reason I just can't wrap my brain around "he's just not done" is that if that was the case, he would have known he was behind schedule enough to the point of losing his premium drop date and he opted to go to Burning Man? I cannot believe he would jeopardize everything he has worked for to do that unless he fully believed he had things under control.

All that makes more sense to me that, "Oh, woops. He'll be finished when he's finished" meme. I think that scenario casts him in the worst light and I just don't buy it. Here is the RCA Ed comment -- or non-comment: www.adamofficial.com/ca/node/2040980Note: the period in "limbo" between management companies would have been 2 to 3 months. The only things we know for sure are that the release dates (per Adam) are single 90% sure for October and the album will be 2012. We know Adam is still working on the album. (Although he could still work on it until about October 15 and it could be released in mid-November.) That Adam has new management and the promotional schedule is being worked on. ************** I do not know much about Astrology but I recall that Adam mentioned not starting anything new when Mercury is Retrograde. 2011 Mercury Retrograde Dates: Mer R Aug 2 2011 19:51 01°Vi12' R Mer D Aug 26 2011 14:04 18°Le42' D Mer R Nov 23 2011 23:20 20°Sg06' R Mer D Dec 13 2011 17:43 03°Sg52' D 2012 Mercury Retrograde Dates: Mer R Mar 11 2012 23:50 06°Ar48' R Mer D Apr 4 2012 02:12 23°Pi52' D So my scientific evaluation of release dates is -- single released before Nov 23 and album between Dec 14 and Mar 10.

I vote for his 30th birthday as a present to himself, not to mention plenty of publicity to go with the significance of that event. Also, instead of donating to a charity, we could just buy a million or so of Adam's CDs. On that non-professional and non-marketplace related opinion, goodnight all.
